Hi Steve,Downloaded the virtual appliance, worked like a charm - thanks.Another question, is it possible to use an lca archive exported fra LiveCycle 8.x in 9.x? When I import the .lca, I don't see it in the workbench. But it's the in the adminui under the 8.x section. I only see the 9.x "applications" in the Workbench.Kind regardsLars

Hi,We are already using LiveCycle ES 8.2 Forms ES - however we would like to try out Output Services. Is there any way to temporarily enable this in our current installation? I have tried looking for turnkey installations, but I understand that these aren't available anymore.Kind regardsLars

Well, that does not sound good. We have not upgraded yet, but are considering service pack 3, maybe there is more luck with that one...Sent from my Windows Mobile®-telephone.

Have you removed the lines manually or by a tool, I'm not sure the update will actually remove the already existing lines for you, but not sure about that./Lars

Can this bug lead to varying pdf file sizes? As I mentioned in the initial message, I've seen the same pdf file grow from about 500kb to 6MB over time. After server restart the generated pdf was back to 500 kb.

Hi,We are generating forms using renderPdfForm and assembleService(for flattening and assembling documents). It seems that the pdf's generated increases in size over time. However it seems to help restarting the server. I've had pdf's of size 6mb going as low to 500kb after a Adobe server restart.Have anybody experienced the same issue? Kind regardsLars

Grasping for straws here...I only see the warnings in the log, not in the Designer. Could it be something in my process causing the warnings in the log?In my RenderPdfForm I have the followingAcrobat version: AutoPDF Version: 1.5etc.

Tried clearing the cache - same warnings appear in the log file. I have a feeling that the xml may contain some "garbage" that the Designer can't "see". Is there a way to verify this xml?Another thing, would it be possible not to have warnings logged to the log file - but info only? We already have this in production and this means that logs are flooded with these warnings.Kind regardsLars

The issue has been resolved - was due to a coding error in my application. The keys to the Map sent to assemblerservice was not padded with zero. This led to the assembly being in the wrong order with ten pages or more./Lars

Look at the following snippet from the xml: The Report palette is already enabled too and it says when Previewing form:Generating PDF Document...PDF generated successfully.0 warnings/errors reported. However I still get the described warnings in the Log file. Is it possible that theres some "garbage" in the xml, which is first "discovered" when rendering the form through renderPdfService or AssembleService?Fragments are included ...

Hi,I am using an assembler service to assemble documents. The assembler service is fed with a byte stream from my application containing the bytes for the forms to be assembled. (These bytes used are returned from a render service and added to the list of bytes which are to be sent to the assembler service.) The order of the forms are fine as long as the number of forms being assembled is under five. Over that amaount and the ordering is no longer correct. Has anybody experienced this before??Ki...

PDF generation highly CPU expensive

Hi,We are experiencing heavy CPU activity (100%) when Form Server is generating pdfs. The Adobe LiveCycle version is 8.2 and its running on a WebLogic 9.2. The pdf genereration involves a render service and an assembler service, the latter used for flattening. The forms are pre-populated, with sometimes, quite large xml files. The server itself is very powerful (it more than meets standard requirements for Adobe LC) and uses automatic thread optimization so were quite surprised to see the CPU re...

Hi,I've noticed that the only way I can update a process via an .lca import is to first remove the process from within workbench (before I do the import). Is there another way? The process don't seem to be updated when disabling it via the admin console first. Problem is that the customer, for whom we are implementing the solution, are not using workbench but only the admin console. I'm therefore worried that if we make changes to a process that the change is reflected in the customers system as ...

Tried with 20 text fields - timeout now occurs 😞I'm quite positive that its due to the size of the generated pdf form. I'm starting to think Adobe LC may not be the answer in situations where large amounts of xml data is used to populate forms, unless something can be done to somehow reduce the size of the pdf being generated.
