Re: Connecting via AS2 - Any chance at all? - Adobe LiveCycle 14-05-2009
thank you, that's very helpful. RTMPS may indeed be a show stopper there, but it's great to know that RTMP in general seems to work. I also have the jesus phone but also got access to an N73 which I believe may be usable for testing. I actually have no clue how to get up and running with that, I'll have to read up on FL.Cheers Stefan

Re: Connecting via AS2 - Any chance at all? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2009
Just one more thing: is AMF3 going to be a problem at all when it comes to Flash Lite and/or AS2? I mean there's no inherent incompatibility is there?Regards,Stefan

You are right, that is intimidating. No doubt I'd get to know the framework intimidly I'll have a look into it. Not sure if my skillls are up to such a task. Backporting to AS2... I must be mad just for considering that CheersStefan

Heads up: Adding FlexBuilder help docs for AFCS to Eclipse - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2009
Just a quick note to those of you who run FlexBuilder as the Eclipse plugin rather than the standalone version. If you want the AFCs docs to show up in FlexBuilder/Eclipse help then add them as described in the PDF, but do *not* add them to the plugins directory of the FlexBuilder Plugin but to the main Apps/eclipse/plugins folder (this is for OSX, probably the same on Windows). So if you run the FB plugin, then add the docs to Eclipse itself or they won't show (at least they didn't for me).HTHSt...

Re: Some observations on the P2P RTMFP Demo app - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2009
I've only got 5 log entries for that room and I created the room specifically for this app so it was a virgin room. All 5 log entries refer to webcam.I can try with my laptop and desktop when I get a chance.Cheers Stefan

Nigel, it would be great to get an idea from your perspective on which base classes need to be ported to get a simple connection and maybe a shared property working with AS2/FL.Cheers Stefan

thanks, I'd be keen to find out. It's quite crucial that data messaging of some kind can be made to work with FL - version 3 is fine.Cheers Stefan

Re: Some observations on the P2P RTMFP Demo app - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2009
I've just tried it again. I am running Flash Debug Player 10,0,12,36I open two Firefox windows, log in as user and guest and start streaming both ways with same cam/mic. After less than a minute I get an update in the text field on the right saying that connection is hub-spoke. Initially when I stream that field is empty.I also tried with Firefox on one side and Safari on another. Same thing happened. The RTMFP for both users remained at true.Regards,Stefan

Some observations on the P2P RTMFP Demo app - Adobe LiveCycle 12-05-2009
Not sure if you guys are aware of this or if it's actually meant to work this way but here it goes.I set up the P2P demo app and laucnhed it in 2 windows. I logged into one as a owner and guest in the other. All works fine and I am connected via RTMFP. I can talk and send cam. After a minute or less the connection falls to hub and spoke. I'm not sure why - should it do that? Initially the RTMFP communications seem fine.I also played with the sound codec change. It appeared that the audio got cut ...
