Re: no OCR parameter in "File Type Settings" - Adobe LiveCycle 29-03-2011
Hello PriyankYou are running Adobe LiveCycle on RedHat Linux, that's the reason! It took me about three weeks to accept that there is a mayor limit in features if you install a LiveCycle Server on Linux. And as far as I know OCR is one of the things missing under Linux.I guess most Adobe supporters have never seen any LiveCycle installation on Linux. Non of about 10 of them I have had contact with believed me or understood, why there are less options on my server than on theirs. The LiveCycle serv...

Re: Webservice: method GET to WSDL url is OK - DocumentError: HTTP 405 on method PUT - Adobe LiveCycle 09-02-2011
Hello HodmiMany thanks for the password hint. It is unbelievable. I had mixed up the text files after uncompressing the zip files...The browser based ReaderExtensions are working fine at http://{yourServer}:{port}/ReaderExtensions/The processed PDFs support commenting also with Adome Reader Verison 8.I applied the suggested changes to the webservice client sourcecode: Document rightsApplied = service.applyUsageRights( inDocument, "SAMPLEREADEREXTENSIONSCREDENTIAL" , "vHcZIJ9Pt?", options); The re...

Hi FolksI just installed the "LiveCycle ES" Trial version available as VMWare-image for ESX-Server (which uses JBoss) and tried to import the ReaderExtensions credentials. The instructions at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/samples/ServiceUsageSampleReaderExtensionsDynamicallyApplyRights.html say that the password for the pfx file downloaded inside the zip http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_ext_cert is written in the accompanying text file - I can't find any password in the zipped txt-file....

Hi FolksI just installed the "LiveCycle ES" Trial VMWare-image for ESX-Server (which uses JBoss) and tried to call the ReaderExtensionsServiceClient webservice using the java sample and always get this exception:...Caused by: com.adobe.idp.DocumentError: 405: HTTP method PUT is not supported by this URL...I sticked to the adobe webservice client sample as shown in the source below.
