Its happening because of 2 arguments i.e. "start" and "-i launchpad". If we refer the Adobe Document of 6.5 In-Place Upgrade and compare difference of commands mentioned in point 2 & 3 of "Determining the correct upgrade start command", we can get actual difference. LINK

Even with bundle `com.adobe.granite.replication.core` in Version 6.2.86 this has not been fixed (i.e. multiple run modes separated by "." are interpreted as OR not as AND). This is the version which ships with AEM 6.5(.0)

Hi,There may be multiple reasons why your page is taking so long to load, you need to determine where the issue lies. For example, the issue may be with the page rendering, you could have components code that is taking a long time render or it could be because your page is heavy with front end code. You can use the link Scott shared above to determine where the issue lies, but, as well as front end analysis, you will want to use a tool such as rlog.jar as described in Monitoring and Maintaining Y...

Hi,to expand on the answer from edubey, you need to determine the meta data you wish to include in your page, this is often mandated by the client or the SEO/design agency. It's a big topic that is constantly changing based on what the search engines/facebook/twitter are currently recommending, so best to get this guidance from SEO experts. You then need to determine which of these properties can be automatically generated (these can be added to the template and the actual values generated on pa...

Hi Qamar, edubey has already given the correct link to review. What you have to bear in mind is that Asset processing is very I/O and memory intensive, therefore you need to have the appropriate level of server resources in order to run such a system. Which was why I was asking about total memory and free memory. In Assets heavy systems I have come across it is not unheard of to have 8-16GB of memory allocated to AEM with a total memory size of 32GB. If I were you I would start with 8GB and run ...

Hi,with any migration of content from one system to another, the approach is usually to use ETL, Extract Transform and Load. Essentially you are extracting the content from the source system, then transforming this into a format that the target system understands and then you load it into AEM. This is a very basic overview, you can get more details in the links below. The extract/transform phase involves understanding the content in the source system and mapping the content/properties/metadata t...

Hi,I just got the very same error. The way I resolved it was that I had made a mistake and didn't Save the email in Campaign after setting AEM as the content Source for the email.SoClick on Confirm after you have selected AEM and the AEM account in the Content section of the Email's propertiesOn the Summary page, make sure you select SaveThen when you edit the email and the AEM icon appears, if you click it, you should get the template being pulled through from AEMRegards,Opakr

ok, good you got it working. But my question was more around the business need for such a change, are you creating so many versions that it is becoming an issue? I often feel it is better not to keep on adding custom code unless there is a real need. If you are already doing version purging, perhaps that is enough.

Yeah, this definitely lies outside AEM. I would suggest you use log rotation, with an automated custom script to compact / archive an older file daily. Cron jobs would help if you're on linux, but then you also probably wouldn't use .zip. Personally, our logs rotate and only the last 5 days are on the server. We do use Loginsight as a log aggregation tool though - it has a java agent that forwards log entries to the central loginsight server automatically, and persists the logs / data for future...

Hi,first, reverse replication is not recommended for UGC, you didn't say what steps you were following to configure reverse replication, the latest are here:https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-3/deploy/configuring/replication.html#Configuring Reverse ReplicationYou would need to configure the reverse replication agents on the author and forward replication on the author. It can be tricky to setup and get working correctly, hence the recommendation not to use it.Regards,Opkar

Hi Ratna,is the page being restricted in AEM using a CUG to force login or is all the login functionality implemented front end only? (If front end, what happens if the user disabled JS, do they still see the page?)You could write a custom authentication handler to creation of the user with the response from the web-service call. Hi There,Unfortunately, although Communities uses MongoDB, it is a different implementation when used with UGC. You would not use MongoDB for the publish tier (Not recommended). The default installation is to use TarMK with MSRP for only the common, 'UGC', content. What is your use case and why do you want to use MongoDB for templates/content. As using MongoDB for content is only recommended on the author tier. Where MongoDB is used to support clusteringRegards,Opkar

Hi All,Now, I'm able to migrate data store for multiple existing AEM instances to a single location.Steps:1. While data migration itself set datastore location to a common data store folder.2. And then have specific configuration under install folder a. org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.blob.datastore.FileDataStore.config b. org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.segment.SegmentNodeStoreService.config3. And then start AEM.After this, I have set up Data Store Garbage Collection.1. Open link http://<>/...
