Merging data in table rows into single page form to be printed? - Adobe LiveCycle 03-02-2013
Hello all,I've been trying to make this work but after much hair pulling have had no luck with it. I have a three page pdf. On the first page are two tabls of employee names. Each row in the tables includes a cell for the employee name and also one that holds a checkbox. The second and third pages are time sheets appropriate for the department that each employee is in. These two pages are hidden. So the idea is that if a particular employee is selected by the check mark, a time sheet with his na...

Using variable/s in SOM expression... how? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-02-2011
Hello all,Sometimes its the simplest things that are the most confusing (for me anyway). For example:I have a static table in a form in which the cells in one column each contain a checkbox. The reference for each checkbox would be:Table1.Row1.ckbox[0]Table2.Row2.ckbox[0]Table3.Row3.ckbox[0]and so on.I have a button elsewhere on the form, which when clicked would set each of the checkboxes in the table to "1" or checked, and would uncheck them all when clicked again. So I'm thinking a simple for ...

need a better way to reset selected cells in a table - Adobe LiveCycle 07-02-2011
Hello all,I have been looking at the various threads discussing resetting only selected fields in a form and leaving others unchanged. The form I am working on has a table of 20 body rows with 8 columns. I want to have a reset button that resets 6 of the cells in each row.I am using the following snippet:for (var nRow = 1; nRow < 21; nRow++)for (var nCell = 0; nCell < 6; i++){xfa.host.resetData("form1.page1.wrapper.ICC.Table1.Row[" + nRow + "].rate[" + nCell + "]"); }This works but is extremely s...

Re: email submit fails without Cc email address - Adobe LiveCycle 07-02-2011
Hi Niall, Thanks for your quick response. I was using the method below:var myDoc = event.target; var oEmail = form1.page1.wrapper.Config.Email1.rawValue; var oCC = form1.page1.wrapper.Config.Email2.rawValue; var oSub = form1.page1.wrapper.Config.subject.rawValue; var oBody = form1.page1.wrapper.Config.body.rawValue; myDoc.mailDoc({ bUI: false, cTo: oEmail, cCc: oCC, cSubject: oSub, cMsg: oBody, cSubmitAs: "PDF" });I'm trying to understand how your method works. If there is no Cc address provided...

email submit fails without Cc email address - Adobe LiveCycle 03-02-2011
Hello all, I have a form with two email address fields. One field holds the To: address and the other holds the Cc: address. When both fields are populated, the email submit functions as expected.I have set the submit button to check and see if an email address is present in the To: field and if that field is empty it will not allow the submit to go further. However, when the Cc: address is missing, Outlook throws up an error message saying "Microsoft Outlook does not accept Null" and asks for a...

What exactly does "reader extend" do? - Adobe LiveCycle 23-01-2011
I have been trying to figure out what is going wrong with my simple one page form. I have "reader extended" the form and I can get the form to save locally, and also to be emailed as a pdf attachment. So far so good. The problem is when I try to save the form or email the form with any data in the various fields. Try as I might, when I open the saved form, the data is gone. Same with the emailed form. The form comes through just great, albeit sans any of the data. What could be going wrong? I'm ...

Re: Scripting for specific cell border (top, bottom, left, right)? - Adobe LiveCycle 24-11-2010
Niall,Thanks for your prompt reply.I tried the custom appearance dialog but since the rows in the table (and hence the cells in question) are added dynamically, any rules applied to the the first instance apply to the each added row (or cell) and what I want to do is have the first cell (that contains the department name) to have borders, but each additional added cell to not have top or bottom borders. I thought the best way to do accomplish this is to script for each added cell.A followup ques...
