I have an application that uses a Consumer to subscribe to a JMS topic via LCDS. I'm working on setting up clustering for my application. What I'm seeing is that Flex is able to detect when its RTMP connection to the server dies (i.e. when I kill -9 the server). It then immediately tries to fail over and connect to another server in my cluster. After the connection is established, it tries to subscribe to my JMS topic. In my tests, if the JMS server throws an exception while LCDS is attempting t...

I have a table with 8 columns. The 7th column contains a choice subform set that evaluates the value of some XML data and either shows the some text with a floating field showing that data, or None. The 8th column is exactly the same as the 7th column, but it uses a different XML data point. When I render the PDF, the 7th column correctly renders the text with the floating field & the data for it. The 8th column correctly renders the text, but the floating field is nonexistent. If I swap the colu...

Solved my problem - I needed to use resolveNode to check for the existence of my element.

I guess a more appropriate question might be:How can I tell if my XML input data does or does not contain an element? Let's say I have VW How can I use Javascript to safely determine if the car has a element?

I have a fragment consisting of a subform and a text object. The subform has the following Javascript for its initialize event:-----var cars = $data.input.cars.car.all;var showMe = false;for (var i = 0; i < cars.length; i++) { if(cars.item(i).color && cars.item(i).color.value == 'RED') { showMe = true; break; }}if(!showMe) { this.presence = 'hidden';}-----The code is supposed to loop through all my input XML data's cars, see if each car has a color element, and if so, see if the color is RED. If...

That sounds like what I've been looking for. Once the layout is complete, will I be able to show/hide objects as needed? As I mentioned above, I might be showing 2 footnotes, or 1, or 0, depending on if there is yes+maybe, yes or maybe, or no only. Also, how would the Javascript look for looping through the subforms that were created via the data repetition? Thanks,Andy

Which field? Here's a better description of my scenario (it's not the best example, but it works). I have XML input, and the XML contains a list of cars. Each car element has several child elements, one of which is hasCruiseControl. The possible values for hasCruiseControl are yes, maybe, and no.I need to display a table of all the cars. In one of the cells, I need to display the value of hasCruiseControl. I also need to display a footnote next to the value, and the corresponding footnote text at...

Is there a way to have Javascript code run at the very beginning of the form process, before any specific individual form component's initialize event happens? I have a table and some of the content depends on the data values from XML, but I need to be able to evaluate every subelement in a repeating section of my input data before beginning to render content (i.e. the value of some text depends on if all "Foos" in my XML have the same value for their "Bar" element).Or is there some initialize e...

Hi Paul,Thanks for the quick response. For the script fragment approach, would I insert the script fragment into the file, or can I put it in my content fragment? Thanks,Andy

I have a fragment that contains a script object and a text field. The text field's initialize event handler calls a method in my fragment's script object. Everything works fine in preview mode of the fragment. When I create a new file and use the fragment in that file, the initialize event handler in my fragment is invoked just fine, but the method I'm trying to call in the script object in the fragment never fires. What I have looks like this:File - fragmentFragment - script object "Foo" - someM...
