Re: [AT Community Q&A Coffee Break] 8/3/22, 8am PT: Rachel Booth, Adobe Premier Support Business Consultant - Adobe Target 03-08-2022
@wgharper - I love this question! XDM data can be leveraged within a profile script following a similar syntax seen below. It is very similar to referencing a Target mbox parameter within the script. In fact, if you start typing mbox.param into the profile script UI, you should see a drop down list of all mbox params including XDM fields to select from. mbox.param('productListItems.SKU')

Re: [AT Community Q&A Coffee Break] 8/3/22, 8am PT: Rachel Booth, Adobe Premier Support Business Consultant - Adobe Target 03-08-2022
Hi @jsvasu, fantastic follow up question! Segments shared from Analytics are slightly different than audiences created directly in Target. Analytics segments are more for historical audiences that have a lookback window, for example, anyone who has abandoned a funnel within the last 30 days is a great example of an Analytics segment. Audiences created directly in Target are great for more real time use cases, for example, what page is the visitor currently on, or where is the visitor currently g...

@CJara1 - great question! Adobe Target does have a built in confidence calculator for MVT, with a traffic estimator as well. Our sample size calculator can be found here. And a guide talking through how Target approaches MVT confidence and traffic estimation can be found here.

Re: [AT Community Q&A Coffee Break] 8/3/22, 8am PT: Rachel Booth, Adobe Premier Support Business Consultant - Adobe Target 03-08-2022
Hi @jsvasu, thank you for your interest in learning more about profile scripts and target audience building! If you have any specific questions please let us know. I am including some resources below to help get you started. Profile scripts are snippets of code that are executed server side on Adobe Target's servers to tracking behavioral information or to just execute logic before Target make its decision. Some examples of profile scripts are the ability to split traffic into unique swimlanes, ...

Re: adobe.target.triggerView - Data Providers - Adobe Target 10-05-2022
Hi @enick_88, since the call to your third party data provider could potential change the visitor's profile and which experiences they qualify for, you would most likely want to fire another Target request via the adobe.target.getOffers method to update the visitor's profile and request the qualified activities / experiences.

Re: How to get A/B test activity name from getAttributes method in server side Java SDK - Adobe Target 10-05-2022
Hi @rrrrrraul - while I am not specifically familiar with the getAttributes method in the SDK, I am aware there is a way to retrieve the activity name of a server side A/B test when Target is delivering the Activity through the response by including this dynamic token in the Target experience: ${campaign.name}. You can also enable this to be returned as through Response Tokens.

Re: What is "Custom Attribute Key Configuration" for ? - Adobe Target 10-05-2022
Hi @practitioner-pin, I'm glad the clarification on the profile.XXX vs user.XXX was helpful. If the dropdown highlighted in your screenshot is empty, then it is likely that you have not yet passed in any profile parameters or created any profile scripts, that is what will be populated in that dropdown.

Re: What is "Custom Attribute Key Configuration" for ? - Adobe Target 10-05-2022
Hi @practitioner-pin, the custom key created during the Criteria creation and from the Settings page are one in the same. So whether you create the custom key from the Criteria creation or the Settings page, the custom key is added to the same list. user.XXX represents a Target profile script, which is a way to track behavioral data using code executed on Target's server side on each mbox / location request. profile.XXX represents a profile parameter that is passed in through the mbox / location...

Re: adobe.target.trackEvent : Equivalent in mobile applications : Replicate for mobile - Adobe Target 09-05-2022
Hello @marysoto03AC, if using the Platform SDK, you could try leveraging the clickLocation method, or the retrieveLocationContent method for incrementing the profile script. More information can be found here: https://aep-sdks.gitbook.io/docs/using-mobile-extensions/adobe-target/target-api-reference#clickedlocation and https://aep-sdks.gitbook.io/docs/using-mobile-extensions/adobe-target/target-api-reference#retrievelocationcontent

Re: What is "Custom Attribute Key Configuration" for ? - Adobe Target 09-05-2022
Hello @practitioner-pin, a custom recommendations key is for when you want to base the recommendations off an attribute / value that does not exist from the out of the box options. So for example if I wanted to show recommendations based on the users most purchased item, I could pass into Target (or leverage a profile script) to store a value of the user's most purchased item. The value of the attribute would be a single entity.id of the user's most purchased item. This could be passed in as a p...
