this thread has really helped alot, thanks! It has helped to finally return a document to me! However, the document that is returned does not contain any of the fragments that are attached to the form (.xdp) that I call in the process. So, I pass in "formName.xdp" and I get PDF output back but the fragments that are inserted throughout "formName.xdp" are not pulled in to build the document. When you look at the formName.xdp document in Designer, the paths to the fragments are relative so an exam...

Thank you, that is very helpful! Do you know if the policy can just display the watermark "when the print function is called and not on the screen display"?

Is there a way to add a watermark to a document that contains electronic signatures. Unless I am doing something wrong, I get an error message saying something to the effect that, "encryptUsingPolicy: Cannot encrypt a signed PDF -- (error code bin: 777, hex: 0x309) -- (error code bin: 777, hex: 0x309)".Whether the document is signed or unsigned, I get the same error. The business case is such that if it is an electronically signed document, then anytime the print function is called, it should pu...

Hello,I have a requirement to display the word "Copy" on a form when it is printed, therefore, the field is setup to appear on "print only". However, I need to be able to print the form without "Copy" on it for one group (or condition if that group knows how to create the condition). These forms are sourced as .xdps and merged with XML data to generate PDF docs that have electronic signature boxes on them and are signed with signature pads. I need to display the "copy" tag everytime the print fu...

Thank you, that was just what I needed! One other question however. Now, when I am returning the package file back, it doesn't give me an option under the print menu to print ALL documents in the package at once. When I create a portfolio using Acrobat 9.x, I can use templates for a nice presentation and I can also select "Print all docs in package" with this portfolio. I realize that I cannot apply a "template" to a package/portfolio yet with LiveCycle 8.0/8.2, but I should at least be able to p...

Hello,I am trying to understand (on my own without having to ask the experts...) how to generate a PDF package in Livecycle when I have a List (or Map, whatever is needed) to use as input. From the docs, it appears I can pass in a List of PDF "documents".I have the following DDX: I have the "Input Document Map" set to "variable" with "pdfList" selected.I get an object coersion exception saying it is expecting a Map, but I tried using a map and I can't get that one right either.Any help would...

I have a livecycle process that uses Assembler to create a PDF package. I then want to reader extend that package. I believe that I have to use "AssemblerResult" as the output type for the Assembler service but when it is passed to ReaderExtension, I get a "cannot coerce object from AssemblerResult to document type. Any thoughts on how to get around this??

I have a flattened PDF (legacy) doc that I am sending into a livecycle process to merge with an XFA doc that I am creating on the server. Assembler will not allow me to assemble the docs in the following order:1. flattened PDF2. XFA docI CAN do the reverse order just fine. Problem is order DOES matter and I need the XFA last.Any thoughts on how I can reach that end result? I was thinking of doing the merge in the wrong order and then maybe reordering the pages, but don't know how to do that eith...
