Is LC running healthy? Did it deploy successfully?Any errors in the application server logs?Are you able to log into the LC AdminUI (host:port\adminui)?

Were there any more details in the Validation Error popup?Any details in the console or LCM logs (configurationmanager\log)?

In addition to trying net start "JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES v8.0" can you also try;sc query "JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES v8.0" to query the status of the service.and starting the service form the windows service panel
