I'm not clear on what a read-only dynamic PDF is. Like, you can use it but not save it with data entered? Or you can't save it as a dynamic PDF but as a static one? I'm not even sure how to go about forcefully implementing the latter. So distributing a fillable dynamic PDF with information already in the fields is a no-no. But if I take that form and have digital signatures which lock all of the form fields with all of the filled out data, and then distribute the PDF, that should be okay...?

It is remarkably difficult to find the licensing information (if there really is any), and calling Adobe's support line is...less than helpful (are there actually humans, or do you just get routed around until they hang up on you?).What I'm trying to find out is: if a dynamic PDF is created in AEM Forms 6.1 (offline, so no cloud sync or anything like that), are there licensing limitations to the created PDF? I remember that there was some stuff with Livecycle, but I was never clear on if those l...

I am trying to make a dynamic pdf which has no security restrictions. Security restrictions are disabled in Livecycle when I create it. When the dynamic PDF is opened in Acrobat, the accessibility features don't seem to work properly, and indicate security restrictions. When I check the security restrictions (which, again, were disabled in Livecycle) I see the following are Not Allowed: 1. Changing the Document2. Document Assembly3. Creation of Template Pages. And underneath it says * This PDF fo...

So, I've been using Radzmar's solution for a while now, and that solution works very well up to a point. However, it begins to become ungainly as the number of subforms which must be addressed grows larger (I'm currently at 50, and it'll only go up). So with that said, is there a way in Javascript to refer to a subform as well as all of its subforms? Yes, I know that the highest subform in the hierarchy is always dominant (so if a page is set to hidden, all of the subforms within it are hidden)....

I'm perhaps unclear, which I apologize for- the idea is that I make the dynamic pdf in Livecycle, and then the end user opens it in Acrobat. Does that make more sense?

Accessibility and Security issues with dynamic PDF created in Livecycle

So, I've created a dynamic pdf via Livecycle Designer ES 2. I have two major issues which may or may not be intertwined. The first is the security, which I've struggled with for a while. The second is with accessibility. Let me describe the security first because I think that is easier to describe.SecurityIn Livecycle, I go to form properties - PDF Security and make sure- both require a password and the permissions checkboxes are left unchecked. No passwords anywhere have been set for the docume...

Controllably reversable access

I'm trying to have the ability to lock down my document, but have authorized users unlock it at need. I've tried using a Password Field (which Adobe's documentation only laughably discusses at best). I can get it to set the entire form to readOnly when the correct password is put in. However, I tried to make it so that the password field itself would remain accessable, so that if someone should put in the unlock code, the document would unlock. That doesn't seem to work at all. I am using the co...

I hate to be vague here, but there may be various answers, and I don't want to deny any of them out of hand. The situation is this: I have a dynamic form which needs to change hands a few times, with each person along the way digitally signing the form. At some point, the form needs to be locked down to prevent further changes. However, there needs to be a way to unlock the document to allow further changes should the need arise- such as if someone later on notices a typo and it must be corrected...

Annotating changes in a dynamic form

I have a dynamic PDF form created in LC, and I am well aware that certain functions are limited because of this. The form has several signature boxes which are set in LC not to lock any fields after signing. I know that the signatures track changes to the document, and I needed to make it so that changes could be made without invalidating the document. So the idea is that the form may be updated post-signature, but any significant changes made must be annotated. The signature panel seems to catch...

Going out on a limb here, I admit. You said that you've set it to hidden in the initialize event, while the rest of this is in the change event. Just on the off chance, have you tried doing the following:1. comment out the hidden code in the initialize event2. select the table in the object hierarchy.3. Object tab - Subform tab - Presence, select HiddenI'm absolutely not a programmer, I'm just a guy who has been flailing at this stuff for a couple of months now. I've tended to notice that the so...

Oh, WOW that works beautifully! I didn't even have to change *anything* except the object names. I had figured I'd need to change at least a few things, but nope, it's lovely. Thank you so much!

You're absolutely correct, I meant pages and subforms. So, in some cases the subforms will be on the same page, while other times they will be on different pages. And in turn, some pages might become hidden altogether. If I'm understanding this correctly:var subforms = this.resolveNodes('#subform.[oneOf(name, "page_3", "subpage_1")]'); variable subforms is an array consisting of the names (? named object/elements?) page_3 and subpage_1. I'm not sure what the #subform is for.for (var i = 0; i < sub...

How do I reference multiple pages/subpages?

I suppose that this ultimately can apply to objects as well as pages. At the moment though, I'm really more concerned with pages and subpages.I want to hide/show multiple pages based on a drop-down menu selection. I have of course searched regarding this subject. Nobody seems to be quite asking for what I'm asking, and the most closely related questions only answer for a single object rather than multiple.I have a dropdown menu that, depending on the selection, certain pages and subpages which w...
