Hi, Thanks for your suggestion. It is the way I choose. I use the Attachments tab and develop a utility to purge the attachments in my case. I have test it and it seems to work nice. If I saw my utility doesn't work so great after more testing, I will have a look on your purge tool.

Hi,In fact, it doesn't work. The file attachments are still embed in the pdf.I use the "Invoke DDX on one document" service after the "FormSubmission" service in my submit service.I though it was working because when I click on the paper clip the attachments doesn't appear anymore. I use the "getPDFproperties" service after the DDX operation to check for attachments in my document. The answer is false, there are no attachments. But the form still make the size of the attachments and I can see the...

My interval is set to 600 seconds but the attachments are not clean up. I can retrieve the attachments but there are still in the Form.So if I go to the tab audit in workspace, I can see the attachments into the form. So they can be delete by Livecycle ? Am I wrong ?What I want is to delete them after I stored them in a local folder. Thanks

I suppose I can't use the form without workspace now because I don't have the route list etc...I change the xfaform variable to a Document Form variable.I'm able put all of kind of file in the form with the method importObjectData but with the paperclip I can add Exe or jar file for example.I retrieve the attachments in the submit orchestration and store them...

Hi Paul, When you say : "You can have them in the PDF (so that they are not stored in the DB)"You mean by using the importObjectData method in javascript or the paperclip because I'm able to import the files in my PDF but not to save them in a specific folder. The exportObjectData not allow me to save the files in a folder without a user selection and I am not able to save EXE files for example.I try to use the submit pdf form es update 1 but I'm not able to retrieve the attachments.I can retrie...

Hi, I need in a process to upload files from a user to a specific folder on a server. My first idea was to use the attachments tab into workspace to add the files. I was able to save the attachments into the folder in the workbench after a step validation. The problem was that the attachments are saved in database or GDS and the size grows up too big. My second option was to use the javascript methods importdataobject and exportdataobject into the pdf.I can import the files in the pdf. But there i...

I read that the big attachments are not stored in the database but in the GDS. There are permanent document so they will never be deleted. If I delete them manually or by a Java program, I suppose Livecycle will crashe.

Hi josh, Thanks for the reply. I saw this table but I will explain you my issue. In a process, my users need to attach sources to the Workflow. The attachments are next copy in a directory on a server.I was wondering what happen if big attachments are added. So I added a zip file from 1Go to the form. The file was good copying in the directory I want and the process terminated good.I saw the tb_task_attachments and look at it size. The size is 0.274MB for 73 row. So I think the attachments was sa...

There is no problem. When I test it in my Livecycle process on an xml variable. There is no problem if the node "DescFonct" is full otherwise I can't retr...

Hi Howard, First thanks for your solution.I try it but there is no results. I remove the Form Augmenter service in the "Render PDF Form ES Update 1" and add the Form Bridge component in my form. I'm not use to use this object, I just drag and drop the object into the form, is there anything else to do ?Thank you.Jérôme

In Firefox 3 with reader 8.1, the highlighted fields works fine.So the problem is with the combination of Internet Explorer 6 and Adobe Reader 8.1.Are they people who apply usage rights to the render process to a pdf document and display it in workspace with Internet Explorer 6 and Adobe Reader 8.1 without troubles ?Thanks

Ok I found the solution in another topic. The render at client option in renderPDFform service must be set to no. So the highlight works now with reader 8.1 in workspace.Edit: The form is no longer dynamic if I set this option so the problem is still there.

I open the form in workspace.-->The rights are well apply.-->The field doesn't app...

Hi, It seems the render I used(default render and a modify version of it) was the source of the problem. There is a new PDF render in Process Management "Render PDF form ES update1 " who fix the issue.I didn't notice the issue in my other process because I use Jdbc services in the render to populate the pdf with an xml file who match the xml schema of the form.So I need to change all my rendering process to match the new PDF render.I hope it could help you too Nadir.

Hi,I have a livecycle8.2 installed on my windows server 2003. It's a migration from the 8.0.1 SP3 but I have some troubles.I need to install an instance of the 8.2 version and not do a migration to see if the problems are still present.I was asking me if I could run the livecycle server installation again without uninstall the current version and install it in other folder with an other JBoss and database without troubles because I don't have an other server to do this. Thanks
