I'm creating a presentation as part of my app. I'm using Indesign to create the content and exporting as an article. There is content in portions of the presentation that I would like to build as each page progresses. Instead of swiping to the next page I would like to be able to tap and it dissolve to the next page. This way portions of the build would seem to stay in the same place instead of swiping to an entirely new page. I hope I am making sense. Is there a way to create this cross dissolv...

The situation that we are in is that we have launched a very intricate app in English with a lot of content, but now need to do it in another language. Is there a way to duplicate the project so that we are able to go in and change the language on the cards and switch the content to the new language?

We have an HTML Packager (AEMMobilePackager) article we're putting in our app that is not responding the way it used to. In previous versions of DPS, the final app would actually scale the content (there was an option for this called "Scale Content to Fit").What we've tried:- the previous version of DPS gave us a passable workaround, can't find its equivalent in AEM- applying a viewport tag with values of 960px and scale of 1Questions:- is there an option equivalent to "Scale Content to Fit?"- ...

I never found a great workaround, but the thing I ended up doing was checking the box in the overlay panel to "Open in device browser". This isn't necessarily the most ideal thing, because it takes them out of the app, but the usability was much better than within the app.

I downloaded the new Natural History Museum app and it did something I haven't seen with AEM. The initial screen had a loading bar and said "Downloading Latest Content". Does anyone know what this is doing exactly? Is it automatically downloading the latest content or is this just at the very first launch of the app? If it is automatically downloading the latest update how did they do it? I think that would be a better alternative than having the user tap "Update Available" every time there is a...

One of the greatest benefits of AEM is being able to generate fresh content and get it to our users easily. But often people think of the word "update" as a negative word or a bug fix. Is there any way to change "update available" to "new content" or something along those lines. We would like to notify users that there is actually new content and not just a bug fix.

I have tried inserting the embed code from YouTube 2 different ways in my app. Object>Insert html and also creating a frame with a web overlay. Both ways seem to work fine at first glance, but when you hit the full screen button the video disappears while the audio continues to play and then the app crashes. This is only on Android phones (nexus 6P and samsung galaxy edge 7 to be specific). The Android tablet doesn't give you the full screen button, which I would prefer if it's going to crash th...

I've got a simple button within an indesign built article that is linking to a PDF that is hosted online. When you tap the button It pulls up the PDF correctly in the app, but when you try to pinch and zoom it actually starts to zoom in on the app behind it, not the actual pdf. It's a little hard to explain so I attached an image. You can see that the PDF (that was filling the entire screen) moves off the screen as I zoom in. Is this a bug or is this how it is supposed to act?

We will be launching our new app for tablet and phone (Android & iOS) in a couple months, but wanted to ask if there was a good list of devices that the app should be tested on? Obviously we can't go buy every device on the market to test on, so is there a good list of 4-6 devices that will give us a good representation of the entire market? Any other testing pro tips would be welcome! Thanks.

In a previous post I asked what command I needed to use to navigate to a specific spot further down in my smooth scrolling article when I have 2 top level navigations. The answer Bob gave was correct (navto://relative/current#50%), but it is only working on iOS. When I tap the button on Android it does nothing. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug?

With the Android issue I have tried both using the full iframe code and only part of it and I get the same result with both. I have seen other AEM apps, specifically Adobe Create that when you tap the play button on iOS it launches full screen and on Android it doesn't. But it also doesn't give you the full screen button on the Android video player. I'd be happy with this option except when I embed the code it gives me the full screen button on Android and iOS. Also, it looks like the Adobe Crea...

I am trying to create a smooth scrolling article that has inline video. I would like the user to have the option to watch the video inline or play the video full screen. I have 2 questions:1. I have seen on some of the other AEM apps that when you tap play it automatically launches the video in full screen mode. I can't figure out how they are doing this. 2. The full screen function works correctly on my iPad, but it freaks out my Android app when I tap the full screen button. By freaking out I ...

Haha, that'll do it! What was weird is I tested the videos on the adobe create app and the audio worked so I assumed it was our app. Not sure why Adobe's videos worked and mine didn't, but I don't really care that much now. Thanks Colin!

We have 2 production apps. 1 iOS and 1 Android. We have several videos throughout the app, some are placed into video overlays native to the app and others are placed using the insert html command and embedded from YouTube. Currently the iOS version of the app is not playing the audio through the tablet speakers. It is however, playing through headphones when I plug them into the jack. We have tested this on another iPad and are having the same issue. The Android seems to function 100% correct. ...

I'm having trouble getting this to work. I've created a button and made it go to url: navto://myarticle#50% I just want it to take me to another spot further down in my article. When I load the article into my collection and i tap the button I've created it looks like it's trying to open another article then says "Content Not Found" and "Tap to Refresh". I can scroll down to the section I'm wanting it to direct to, so I know it did export as a smooth scrolling article. Doesn't seem like this sho...

Thanks Keith. That at least tells me it is possible. For a reason we can't figure out we can't get a consistent look across all platforms no matter what we do with leading, padding, margins. It's really not even close. But now I've at least got confirmation it's not acting the way it's supposed to. Is there a place where I can walk through the problem with someone at Adobe?

‌we are doing the same thing, but haven't been able to figure out how to get the font to display in the layout template. It is showing up in the test app, but would be nice if we could preview it in the layout template. Any advice? We get an error in the layout template next to the font name that basically says "there is an error, but it will display in the app"

‌thanks for the response. Did you end up getting any answers? We've tried every leading value and still are having trouble with it matching across iOS, android and layout template. It becomes worse when adding more than one text field.

‌I guess it's reassuring that someone else has had this same problem but surely this is not what Adobe intended. I'm guessing that most users are not having to look at the live app to see their changes. It just seems like you could skip the layout templates if this was the case. I feel like it must be on my end somewhere. I've just done everything I can think of, and it's still not working.

‌Yes, we have done this. I guess the problem boils down to this. We can get it to look exactly the way we want on the layout template set to iPad, but when we update the test app the leading and even the appearance of the font in some cases looks totally different. It actually looks closer to the way we want it on the Android test app.

Well, we thought we did, but after replacing the font with one that had a TTF and WOFF it actually made the leading issue worse. See screenshot:

The screen shots you see here were made with a pair of OTF fonts. The slab serif we've been able to convert to a WOFF for the Layout Templates. The other we can't find a WOFF version of, nor will it permit conversion. So we're looking for a replacement that provides web formats or will permit conversion.

Sorry, I may not have been clear about what is different between the 2. Yes, the crops, grids are the same, but I'm specifically talking about the way the card titles are treated. More specifically the leading. The leading on the cards are much different between the layout template and the published app. And it becomes even more apparent if you see the android version which is different than both the layout template and the published iPad app.
