Hello everyone, I have a survey that is used in our office. There are about 15 of these a day that are filled out by our employees to gather data from out clients. When these are saved, they are put on a folder on a network drive that multiple people have access to. What I would like to do is take the data from these completed surveys and have them compiled in either a PDF that can display the data or an excel spreadsheet. (If possible, I'd like to be able to have a button added to the surveys t...

Hey everyone,I'm having trouble with something that I would think would be simple. (But, lately with my experience dealing with Livecycle, few things are. )Anyways, what I'm trying to do is make at least 4 checkboxes in a section of my PDF required before the PDF can be submitted by email. I have been able to make an alert pop up if less than 4 boxes are selected, but the email with the PDF still shows up regardless of what I do. I have tried the "cancelAction()" and "cancel" functions with no l...

I am having some trouble with a simple if-else statement. When a certain selection is made in a drop down box, I would like two other drop down menus to appear. (At runtime, they are hidden.) The current problem is that when I try and select anything in the drop down menu, it will only allow me to select this one option. (If I try to select anything else, it reverts back to the same thing every time.) If I set the "if" statement to trigger for something else, then that option is all it will disp...

I have several drop down lists in a PDF I am creating. These drop down lists contain diagnoses to be used by physicians. With there being a LOT of diagnoses, it would be extremely convenient if I had a "search" function of some kind that could be utilized as the wording of the descriptions for the codes/diagnoses can vary: (Ex. "Rib Pain" or "Pain in Rib")As of now, the only option is to select the first letter of the name they believe the diagnosis to have. Using this example, they would select...

Okay, after some searching, I was able to find an example... But, for some reason, if I try this code in a brand new PDF, it doesn't do anything at all. The results are the same as before. This is what I'm inserting right before the checkbox field ends. My dropdown list is named "ddlist". if (this.rawValue == 1) //1 being the "on" or ticked value{ ddlist.presence == "visible";}else{ ddlist.presence == "hidden"; //can also go for "invisible"} I can't seem to figure out what it is I'm doing wrong. I know it's something simple that I'm missing and I'll probably kick myself for it when I find out. ;]

Hi everyone!I'm new to LiveCycle and I'm trying to make a form for my company. In this form, there are several checkboxes and I would like a dropdown list to appear when one of the check boxes is selected. (One list for each checkbox.)I'm having a lot of trouble getting the checkbox to have any effect on my list when I check it.I have tried searching for all the information I could find on if/then statements and have even tried looking for other examples of this in other PDF's. Unfortunately, I ...
