In my application, I have 3 processes, and a PDF form, the 3 processes reference the PDF form,so each time I make a change to the PDF form, I got 3 warnings in the Validation Report tab, saying that the PDF that these processes depend on has been changed.I can get rid of those warnings manually by doing the "Validate" on those processes.my question is, why it doesn't do the Validate automatically? and stop displaying those warnings all the time?is there a way to let it do the Validate automatical...

Attachments are lost if your form submits as XDP. If you change the submit type to PDF then server that same PDF back to the next user, the attachments will be there. If you decide for other reasons, you still want to submit as an XDP, take a look at this: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4316578#4316578

How to do this:a process uses a PDF form (not XDP), because the form has digital signature fields. It has several User steps, the input and output of these User tasks is a Document variable. Before each User submits the form (by clicking an Action button in the WorkSpace window), I want to check the form to make sure the section on the form (that this user is responsible for) does not have errors. If it has error, I want to pop up a message and prevent the user from submitting the form. When the fo...

On a related subject: the ES2 SP2 installation instructions state that while running ConfigurationManager you must go to a command prompt at a certain point (after initializing database and before deploying components) and run the MigrateArchiveSessionIDs tool. If after doing so I need to re-run ConfigurationManager and re-initialize the database, do I also need to re-run the MigrateArchiveSessionIDs tool? What does the MigrateArchiveSessionIDs tool do, anyway? The installation instructions are ...

Just want to confirm:so I have a form that's PDF (not XDP) and I use Document data type, because I have been told that in order for forms with Digital Signatures to work properly, we will need to use those parameters.Does this mean that Forms with Digital Signatures cannot be saved into Draft?thanks

I have a form that's used in a WorkSpace workflow process. LiveCycle ES2.5.At a certain User Task "X", there are a couple of "User Actions" defined, say, action "A" and action "B";and they show up in the WorkSpace as a couple of Buttons below the Form. Now, when the user completes the Form, and clicks one of the Buttons ("A" or "B") to route the form to the next participant,I would like to validate the entire form before submitting it;the validation logic, however, would be different based on whi...

You could have a process that leverages the "Digital Signatures" functionality of LiveCycle. You could apply the signatures on the server side. You would need to make sure that the signer's digital certificate was imported into the "Credentials" section of the trust store. LiveCycle needs access to the P12 or PFX file to create the signature.I am not aware of any way to automate the signature process on the client side.RegardsSteve

In the Edit Field Put - date{M/D/YY}|date{MM/DD/YYYY}|date{M-D-YY}|date{MM-DD-YYYY}In your display field Put - date{DD-MMM-YYYY} or date{DD-MMM-YY} which ever you perfer.Leave the Validation Blank. With that in the Edit Field, it will correct if the user puts 04-01-1990 or 04/01/1990 and will convert to your format when entered

Hi,I have read that FormCalc has higher performance that JavaScript in Reader. I find that reference syntax is much more forgiving and the error messages much more valuable. And as mentioned, there are some great functions in FormCalc. So, for a number of good reasons, FormCalc can be the best choice in many situations, regradless of programming experience.FormCalc is limited in that you can't make your own functions and store them in a script object like JavaScript. And now with the latest vers...

The hierarchy view shows you the names of the objects as well as the relationship between objects (groupings, subforms, pages). The name that is given is simply a means of addressing the object when referencing it (for example in script). That name can be changed to whatever you want. When the object is dropped onto the drawing area a default name is given (i.e. Text1, TextField1, ...) As names must be unique the number is incremented at the end automatically. So my guess is that Text9 is the 9th...

Perhaps, the data binding for the form fields set to 'none' ?? This also cause the submitted form data being empty. If your form/process is not confidential, you can send me the LCA to have a look at it.NithEmail: nith@mof.gov.bh
