Hi,I am trying to find out if AEM can offer JWT token generation on AEM 6.5 (SP8) instance instead of developing custom functionality?Cookies does not fit for our requirement. Thanks.

Configure SAML on AEM publishers and make sure to configure the gated content path (make sure you've all the gated pages under one path). This will ensures the incoming requests to those pages (configured in the SAML configuration) are routed for SSO authentication.

we've customized in a different way but the below is not a solution and the documentation in that article is outdaed and does not fit for latest AEM versions.

Hello, OOTB AEM leverages jQuery 1.12* version. However, we want to use jQuery 3 instead of this default OOTB version. Most of the documentation seems to point to /etc/ for customization and is outdated. We're planning to use a different namespace/variable name/object name for this custom jQuery 3 so they won't conflict. Any ideas on implementing custom jQuery version on AEM? Thanks.

Your screenshots are not clear. You'll need to append .html at the dispatcher level and send them over to AEM and AEM is responsible to remove the .html for outbound urls. Are you using the links without .html extensions?

Sometimes it does not work as it suppose to. Instead of caching/excluding configured components, it just returns the entire page. Lets say you configured a component with specific TTL then the expected behavior should be: SDI should intercept the request and send the configured component headers to dispatcher so dispatcher caches this configured component separately from the page. But this does not work intermittently. I would recommend to develop your own custom solution rather than using SDI. ...

This is just a notification since Java 8 removed the MaxPermSize and this is expected and should work fine. Also, were you able to login to the AEM server after startup? Your server was starting successfully but throwing that warning since its removed since Java 8.

The article briefly talks about installing the AEM server first and this is straight forward before configuring it as a service as well in one of its section. What version of Java are you using and the AEM version?

That seems to be a custom one. The better way would be creating a ticket with Adobe. The SP7 have some issues and Adobe don't recommend to install this but if you need to then you'll have to install a hotfix on top of SP7. I would suggest go for SP8.Thanks,Singaiah

My below articles will give you an overview of the setup: Installing AEM:https://chintalapudi4.medium.com/installing-aem-as-a-service-linux-centos-7-x-7d879259747d Setting up Dispatcher: Try using docker for easy setup but you'll get an idea from this article if you want to setup dispatcher by itself. https://chintalapudi4.medium.com/setting-up-dispatcher-2-0-on-docker-centos-7-x-e4033bb5fba7

Okay. Try to fix those open issues causing the slowness and it will help you on the long run on the maintenance side as well as improving App One performance. To start with, you can deploy both the code bases to all four publishers and route the App Two traffic to Pub 3 and 4 and App One traffic to Pub 1&2 until you fix the App One code base/configs.

Yes, you may face few issues with deployment pipelines. Lets say you're on AMS and want to leverage Cloud Manager for deployment, your architecture would not work. Cloud Manager just deploy to all nodes. What's the main reason having site specific publishers apart from managing the code base? I would go for separate code bases for both of the sites and deplot both the code bases to all servers and allow all servers to serve content for both the sites just for easy maintenance, upgrades, DevOps p...

Few things to consider:It's always better to add additional dispatchers as well (1:1 mapping). Dispatchers are commodity servers and extremely cheap to add additional ones. I would recommend to add new dispatchers to point to new publishers.Any specific requirement to push the code bases to only few publishers? Its significantly low maintenance if you manage both the code bases on all publishers and let all publishers to handle requests for both the domains. Of course this depends on many other ...

I don't know your specific requirement and this is just one way of doing it and of course you can skin this many different ways. If you can't allow this then duplicating would be better. But allowing only specific paths for API calls are common.

I was assuming both of these sites are hosted on same AEM server(s). If yes then you/IT should be able to allow to grab the resources on these domains (no CORS) at the Apache level.

I would use the same servlet for easy maintenance (even though you can have a redirect to a different servlet at CDN or dispatcher level) Same servlet and same query logic based on path (should pass in as a request param)If you are maintaining multiple sites then you've different farms tied to farm specific rewrites. Therefore, you just need to intercept this servlet request and append the path query param to the servletThis way, you've one servlet serving to both/more sites and search would be ...

I would use Apache Http Client.https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.httpcomponents/httpclient The JAX-RS comes with additional dependencies (this download additional javax dependencies) which might have a conflict with Sling dependencies. Thanks,Singaiah

Just a thought: Perform a thorough testing with the SDI. I would prefer writing a schedulers or other approaches instead of using SDI.

Check the encoding config on AEM and see if that helps: Go to Apache Sling Request Parameter Handling OSGI config and change the Default Parameter Encoding to "UTF-8" and see if this helps.

You should be redirecting these requests (ending with //) to 404 page at the apache/dispatcher level. Any specific requirement that you want to allow these pages?

There are different way to handle this.Load this using Tag Management tool i.e. Launch, GTM..etcHost this on DAM and use that reference. Make sure the downstream TTL is set on the headers so the browsers will get the update continuously.ThanksSingaiah
