I actually do this but with a data element of type custom code and then make a condition of value comparison on each new rule referencing the data element. Would it be hard to simply make a data element of type "rule component" for events/conditions/actions and then have an easy access for them in the rule-building page?

Could you confirm that unsafe-eval is not needed for latest DTM? CSP still complains if I don't set unsafe-eval even with at.js 2+.

@dwights96500116, the tag manager itself does not have any capabilities around anonymizing IP addresses. If you send data to Adobe's new Edge Network (with the Web and Mobile SDKs), that has a capability to blank out IP Addresses before forwarding the events on to 3rd-party destinations.

@mvvss68639847 - the extension does allow for GA4 configuration. Most of the configuration will be the same for both tools, but it is on our list to build out more documentation around GA4 as the product matures. If you have specific questions we're happy to answer them!

Really grateful to hear about the new "Edit Property" permissions. It sounds essential for separate teams to be autonomous without gaining the ability to manage properties which are not theirs.

On the Launch team, we consider openness and transparency to be items of high value. One of the requests we’ve heard from many customers is that you don’t really know what you’re getting when you install a new extension from the catalog. This is of less concern for mobile extensions since the source code is available through package managers and part of the compiled apps. But in a browser, it’s much more dynamic and harder to know what you’re getting. JavaScript can dynamically inject more JavaS...

@Web_Analytics_N, the best route to resolution for this is to log a ticket with customer care. That will allow you to share the necessary information (Company, property, etc) and will allow the engineering team to take a look and report back to you in the most efficient way.We have not heard of any other incidents like this. The linked embed codes should definitely still function as they did before (though obviously you'd need to set them up through Launch now instead of using the checkbox in DT...

@thebenrobb - Thank you for your feedback. We discovered that the issue was related to our datalayer and not the Launch code. The trick for anyone else having difficulty with this is to ensure that the Push method for creating a data layer is used as that will update the default value in the data layer. This the direct method data layer creation does not allow for Adobe Launch to change the value.

@gokula, when we add this feature, it will be done in a way that all extension developers can take advantage of it, not just Adobe extensions. We do encourage other extension developers to provide release notes, and our product docs are open to them if they'd like to provide extension release notes there. But so far, those extension developers who do provide them, do so in their own locations and their own priority.

Great advice from @AlexisCazes and @thebenrobb ! To add to that: 1.) Create your own set of best practices, taking inputs from your site developers and QA folks to determine how reliable and performant a particular piece of code can be. Typically sites which have had marketing capabilities before the implementation of a tag manager, would need those implemented by a developer directly on the site code (then typically tested before releasing) - so your colleagues can be a great allies here. 2.) P...

Not even Microsoft supports IE for their products now-a-days. It's not a real browser anymore, it's a compatibility solution. We need to stop treating it like it matters, because it doesn't. A Brief History of Tag Management at Adobe Adobe’s foray into the tag management space began in earnest in 2013 with the acquisition of Satellite and its adoption into the DX family of products. Yes, technically, Adobe Tag Manager came first, but that’s where the “in earnest” comment comes in.Satellite was renamed to Dynamic Tag Management (DTM) and grew from tens of customers to hundreds in a short amount of time. This rapid growth exposed several issues that we needed to address: DTM worked we...

@pyarlagadda, The link delay functionality attaches click event handlers to specific selectors that are identified in the Core - Click Event settings. I've not heard of link delay ever having any adverse affects that are not related to a user actually clicking the link. I think the effect you are seeing is not related to the link delay function.

Thanks for providing the answer. But, as per our web analytics team, turning off the link delay doesn't fix the problem.

This is correct. Each build is done from scratch based on the exact resources that are upstream and included in your library. The process is repeated when you move from Dev to Stage to Prod.

So there's two discreet problems that need to be solved here:Identifying which environment to switch toIntercepting the request for the prod environment and redirecting it to your specified environmentRe: Problem #1We have come up with two ways to solve this one.Emit one or more environment IDs into the libraries. We could up with some mechanism for you to designate a single environment that you want to use for testing, or we could just emit all of them. We don't really want to do this because i...

Modern websites are built by referencing images, content, and scripts from various locations around the web. Sub-resource integrity (SRI) allows a browser to verify that the contents of the requested file have not been unexpectedly modified.SRI is different from a Content Security Policy (CSP), though they work together. When implemented correctly, a CSP ensures that only files from trusted sources are allowed on your site. SRI goes one step further by ensuring that the contents of these files m...
