Hi there!I've installed LC ES2 before on my machine and normally without any problems. Now I had to uninstall and install it again. So that I could do it from start, using turnkey, I even removed some items from Windows registry. This has worked before, more than once. Now this is not working anymore. It always stops at the same place, roughly at 60% of the installation process. I wonder why. Some problem with Java? Please, has anyone had this kind of problem before?Thank you a lot for any hints!Ma...

Hello there!A client would like to invoke Reader Extensions from a Java application and get the extended PDFs back...Their software generates course certificates and they want to be able to apply digital signatures using Adobe Reader. So I've got two questions:1. Is it possible to extend a PDF document created by a non Adobe software? This software was developed by the client (an Univesity IT team).2. IF answer to question 1 is YES, is it possible to call Reader Extensions from a Java application...

Hello! I have over 3 thousand XML files containing information to be converted into PDF files. Among the info I have fields like: X So on the XDP fields this translates as checkboxes. So I tried this script to mark the correspondent checkboxes in the resulting PDF:if (xfa.resolveNode("REASON1").rawValue == "X") { this.rawValue = 1;}Well, it doesn't work. The checkbox is identified as REASON1 in the Binding tab, everything looks correct to me.Please, what am I doing wrong?Thank you for any hints! ...

Hello! How do I manipulate an Exclusion Group selection using JavaScript?I created this four option Exclusion Group called REASON and used this line of code to select the first option: xfa.resolveNode("#subform.REASON.#field").rawValue = 1;And it works just fine. So I took for granted this line sets field 1 as the selected button. Or so I thought. Then I tried this: xfa.resolveNode("#subform.REASON.#field").rawValue = 2;Hoping this would select the SECOND button in the group. Well, it doesn't work...

Ha! it worked!! Please, don't ask... Now, yes, the loop works perfecly in FormCalc; only the time field calculations in FC is really weird, so I will be better off writing my own function and using your excellent material on SOM Expressions!Thank you so much!Marcos

Hi Niall,I've just given up trying to figure out how FormCalc treats time calculations and will do it in JS. Thus your material will come in really handy!Thank you!Yes, I will have to create my own time calculation functions, no big deal. What I still haven't figured out, thoughm, is how to cast strings into integers in JS. Should be as simple as parseInt() or Number(), but for some reason its not working.Marcos

Hi!I've been trying to add time fields using Formcalc with no success. I was wondering if someone could help me... This is getting really frustrating. After a lot of trial and error I ended up with this piece of code: if (tPausa ne null and tPausa > 0) then totalLinhaRelatorio.formattedValue = Num2Time(tOut - tIn - tPausa - 158400000, "HH:MM") else totalLinhaRelatorio.formattedValue = Num2Time(tOut - tIn - 79200000, "HH:MM") endifIt basicaly calculates time spent on a task, considering start and ...

Hi Niall,Thank you once again! Now, all sample codes I've seen dealing with this looping use JavaScript. Is it possible to do the same with FormCalc?Reason: the fields that must be added are time fields and it is a lot easier to work with FC than JS with those guys.Marcos

Hello!I'm building a timesheet form in which I need to calculate the difference between start and end times and present the result.I'm trying to do this with FormCalc but if it is easier with JS it's ok too.So this is what I did on the total field, using the calculate event on a NUMERIC field called decimalValue: elapsed = Time2Num(endTime.formattedValue, "HH:MM") - Time2Num(startTime.formattedValue, "HH:MM") And then I tried to convert into a time field: total = decimalValue.rawValue; $.formatt...

A client has upgraded from JetForms to LiveCycle and is missing some of the old platform features. One of them is the possibility of duplicating a form page with just a click on a button. I solved this with Page.instanceManager.addInstance(1);However, to use this approach in a PDF form it is necessary to place the button on the form itself. Many of the client's form layouts are already cluttered and they would rather not change anything. They ask me for a solution where this button could be placed...

Hello!I built a simple process to merge an XDP to an XML data file to create PDF documents.Simple enough, the process gets the XML from a watched folder, does the merging and saves the resulting PDF files in a server folder. Now I need to change this process to obtain the following behavior:1. User clicks a link on a Web page (HTML) sending an ID as reference2. Based on the ID, process gets an XML, merges with XDP and sends back to the browser the resulting PDFSo I believe I must change this to a...
