Binding and XML Data

Hi Experts,I’m creating a table and would like to use XML data that is used in a different form to populate fields. This is an example of what the table would look like. The highlighted data is what would be populated from the XML data. The table is static and not dynamic. This is an example of what the xml looks like: MO1 9.0000% 5.0000% MO2 8.5000% 4.5000% Can I bind the fields? How would I go about doing this if FieldA is needed for Qtr 1 row and FieldB is for Qtr 2 row? Binding fields ra...

Thanks for your response, but this isn't working. It still doesn't round to 0.4688% and I tried your example 0.0049995 and it displays 0.4999.

Issue rounding numbers in a textfield

Hi, I have text fields that are populated from XML data. The data can be text or numeric, so I have a script in the initialized event to display a pattern if the data is a number:this.format.picture.value = "num{zz9.9999%}";Some of the numbers do not round correctly and this is causing manual editing which is a lot of work as I have to proof 250+ fields. The point of automating these fields is to save time and effort. Is there a solution to my problem? I have found a few posts, but those solutio...

Thanks for your response. When I type in Field1 it will overflow to the next field, however, the word that overflows gets deleted when I keep typing. I typed "If I keep typing in this field". "this" overflows and when I continue to type "field", "this" gets deleted and I'm left with "field". See 2 screenshots below.

Hi, I have 3 textfields that will tab to the next field when full//will tab to TextField13 once field is at its limitxfa.host.setFocus(TextField13); The problem is when text is at the end of the field and the word is too long, the word will get cut off. Is there a way to prevent this from happening - have the complete word go to the next field? Also, is there a way to delete text using the backspace button after the text goes to the next line. Meaning if my text tabs to the next field, I want to...

It now works to filter - thanks 😀 . But, 2 problems. When I Save As it doesn't keep the data, the fields are blank; and the dropdown is still visible.

Hi, I've been trying to get this work and I can't. Nothing happened when I entered the dropdown and when I exited the dropdown it hid the formsInfo subform's first instance and nothing else. I tried adding a data connection and now the exit event script is working - adds the owners to the dropdown, but I can't get the Main subform to be hidden/visible when selecting an owner from the dropdown.

Good question. I’m not well-versed on this subject or scripting, so I don’t know what is possible. Currently I’m using Adobe Acrobat and importing the XML to create the 780 forms. There is no data connection. I’m not opposed to having a data connection. I tried this approach and was not successful. Is this possible: Dropdown that list the owners (A, B, C, etc. – not multiple times: A, A, A, A…..B, B, B….)Using Adobe Acrobat, import the data – 780 forms are createdSelect owner “A” from dropdownFi...

Separate/filter forms based on unique value

I have form created in Adobe LiveCycle Designer and has imported xml from an Access table. The xml populates 4 fields and the form repeats for every data item. There are 780 output forms. One of the fields is called “owner”. Out of the 780 forms there are 58 unique owners. Is there a way to separate/filter the forms based on the unique owner? So if owner “A” has 50 forms, I want the form to repeat only 50 times. I don’t want to create 58 separate tables in Access if I don’t have to.

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a way to find out who was the last person to modify a form. I see the modify date and create date in the XML Source, but nothing regarding a user ID of any type. This info can be found in a Word document or Excel spreadsheet under the Properties.

Hello,I created a form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 that has a data connection. The XML is exported from an Access Database table. I’m using Sample XML Data for my form. Everything worked great until I added new fields to the Access Database table and replaced the XML file with the updated XML file. When I update the data connection in the form the added fields are missing. I looked at the XML file that exported and it contains the new fields. Can someone tell my why the data (fields) are not...
