Re: Set Field's Content Fill Color - Adobe LiveCycle 13-09-2015
OK >> I solved it... SOLVED!!!!!The video indicates that you have HIGHLIGHT Fields setting active in Adobe Acrobat Pro/Reader - if you switch this off you will get the behaviour you expect. I'm not sure you will be in love with this solution (as it is difficult to ensure other users will switch off this setting) but -- staying on topic -- if you test my form again after switching HIGHLIGHT Fields off in Adobe Acrobat Pro/Reader it should perform exactly as you intend (assuming I've finally inter...

Re: Does download version of LiveCycle Designer ES4 include SP1? - Adobe LiveCycle 11-09-2015
I can confirm that as of 2 months ago, the Adobe LCES Designer 11 installation requires the SP1 to be installed separately (I keep both .exe's together in the same folder and you only need you product key on hand for the LCD 11 install, not the subsequent SP1 install). Only then will the Version ID change to 11.0.1I'm not aware of any additional Service Packs released since the original. My cursory investigation of the background/purpose of SP1 indicates that it was primarily released to enable ...

Re: Calculation No Longer Works if a Value in a Field is deleted - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
use "Number Fields" from the object pallette (NOT text fields) - amend settings in Patterns > "allow zero" + set "currency{}" as data format.deleting field value will produce this display value "$0.00" and NOT " " [AKA 'empty field']

Problems tabbing in to a form after clicking F5 ('Preview Tab') - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
It's as simple as this >> I can't [TAB] in to a form when clicking F5 (to 'run' the form within LiveCycles 'preview' mode)I hope someone has a suggestion/solution with respect to this odd phenomenon experienced when testing (running) Designer forms by clicking [F5] and then pressing [TAB] to test various field events in the form.HERE'S WHAT I KNOWWhen using ADOBE ACROBAT PRO XI or ADOBE ACROBAT DC and working with LC Designer 11.0.1 there is a problem (or what amounts to a time consuming/unneces...

Re: Slow tabbing between fields - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
I've had this problem before (Large, Complex, Repeating Subforms) -- it's likely to be improved only with more efficient coding (and a series of other small tricks that can make a big difference). Your link is broken -- if you would still like to resolve this problem, I'd be happy to have a look at it for you..David

Re: Set Field's Content Fill Color - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
my guess is that the error relates to incorrent SOM path referencing.try this..script to be placed in target field ('Name') on the [initilize] eventthis.fillColor = "0,200,0"; // green

Re: Missing Preview Tab in LCD ES2 - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
The preview tab is 'missing' where adobe LCDesigner is installed but Acrobat Pro (or Reader) is not installed. SOLUTION: You must install either Acrobat Pro (or Reader) -- then LiveCycle will show the preview tab. NOTE: Third-party [non-Adobe] PDF software will not 'play' PDF or XFA forms (this is another related reason the Preview Tab maybe missing)

Re: How do I add only the fields whose value is greater than an established amount in a calculation? - Adobe LiveCycle 09-09-2015
Great news - progress is very much about incremental steps -- my understanding is little more than a function of the knowledge of others. Niall has been very generous in providing so many 'worked examples' for LC Designer practioners - visit his website, download some forms and your capabilities will expand massively !!www.assuredynamics.com
