Changing the name of the target project, changing it back, then migrating the DPS content actually worked! Well done, Christophe! I wouldn’t have come up with this solution myself.

Resurrecting this thread for the recurring error. I can’t seem to migrate at all now.

I don’t think it was the degradation—it failed again this morning. But—after unchecking the “Force overwrite already migrated articles” checkbox, everything migrated OK. There are likely minor variations somewhere between the new articles, revised articles and untouched content that got things confused. Everything worked in the end though.Wouldn’t have to do this dance except I still have HTMLResources.zip at play in this book.

Attempts to migrate a “classic” DPS folio fail with the error, “Folio “folio name”; there was a problem communicating with the server, the operation failed after “5" retries."

My limited test says "no," because preview apps must be signed with the developer profile, and iTunes Connect requires apps to be signed with the production/distribution profile. The followup question is how to get a preview app into the hands of testers or content reviewers. Send them the properly signed and provisioned .ipa to load to their device via iTunes?

Thanks Neil.We are, and I will.* The card really is applied--I can edit everything except the type and have the change show up.*First I'm going to remove the article with the HTMLResources and see what happens.

Also thought I'd addd that this problem is unique to this project. A second one, also built with the Folio Migration tool but without any HTMLResources, works correctly.

Tried that. No joy.One thing I forgot to mention that may be important, or not, is that the content was brought over via the Folio Migration Tool, and does include a HTMLResources file. But I'm not using any specified font as you can see, and I didn't upload any font assets when I built the app.

Everything works except for type in the cards. It looks like this in the browser:The title doesn't appear on the card in the preview app.If I change the vertical alignment, the text disappears from the preview in the browser. like this:

I’ve clicked the preview button over and over. I get the progress bar, but no changes in the preview app.The content in the default collection behaves the way you describe. I can fix that.

Edits made to my default card (font color, position, etc.) don't seem to coming through to my preview app. I've gone as fas as delete/reinstall the app from the iPad with no joy. Suggestions? Also, the first article in the default layout opens immediately instead of showing as a card in the default layout. The title does show in the left-side pop-out navigation.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. Of course, that means the DPS Classic file organization--one file per folder--doesn't exactly work with this...

Since you can't batch update the files in a folio any longer from within InDesign, is it possible to batch create .article files, preferably from the book palate? (Export as PDF doesn't give the option, at least in CC 2014.)

Yes!!Look at the app as an updatable textbook that sells for less than the printed version, but generates more profit for the writer/publisher.

So without Adobe Content Viewer, there's not an "easy" way to share what used to be called folios with other users, right? In DPS Classic, I could share a folio to my boss's Adobe ID and he could view it on his iPad. What's the replacement workflow? A beta app shared (how?)?

Forgive my confusion: Does this mean that for HTML overlays, the content must be hosted somewhere and is loaded remotely, instead of contained in the HTMLResources.zip file and available even when the app is used without an internet connection?Like I say, I may be missing something basic about the workflow.Sorry--brain fart. I was thinking all of the supporting files were in the HTMLResources.zip. Forgot that they just had to be in the folder with the index.html file.

I would have killed for some Dreamweaver or Muse templates for the app builder!

Does that mean no HTML overlays on INDD pages? Just .oam's? Or am I missing something basic?
