Adobe Reader for iOS and Android & Rights Management - Adobe LiveCycle 20-10-2011
This week's release of Reader for iOS and Android devices incorporates support for accessing files secured by Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management. As you are probably familiar, LiveCycle Rights Management protects sensitive documents by encrypting them with industry-standard AES encryption and enabling central management of their access permissions. Protections persist even when documents are accidentally distributed via email, the cloud, or saved on a lost mobile device. Many of the core capabiliti...

Re: Adobe Reader for iOS cannot open IRM-protected PDF documents. - Adobe LiveCycle 20-10-2011
Please read http://blogs.adobe.com/security/2011/10/just-released-adobe-reader-10-1-for-ios-and-android.html, and the FAQ referenced at the bottom. Please make sure you are running the correct minimum server version, have SSL correctly configured, and that the policy associated with the document you are attempting to open via username/password authenticaiton does not have a watermark.

Re: Inquiries Regarding LiveCycle - Adobe LiveCycle 10-08-2011
As of today, RM protected documents cannot be opened on iPads, however we are working to change that. Send your contact information to jonathan.herbach@adobe.com and we can discuss further.

Re: Inquiries Regarding LiveCycle - Adobe LiveCycle 10-08-2011
What you're describing sounds like the LiveCycle Rights Management capabilities -- http://www.adobe.com/go/rm/.Access control is handled on an identity by identity basis, and can be changed at any time. The client capabilities are included in all desktop versions of Adobe Reader since version 7 in 2005, and will be included in iOS and Android versions of Reader that will be released later this year.

Re: Popup Notifications - RM 8.0.1 - Adobe LiveCycle 26-04-2011
Behavior in recent versions of Reader have changed this a bit, as starting in ~November 2010 we consolidated dialogs and information presented to the user. Customer administrators have the discretion whether information should be presented to the end user (check the server settings whether audit/privacy information is presented to the end user). If administrators decide to show this information to end users, then the end user can change the client behavior from "show ever time" to "show only onc...

Re: Process firing duplicate events - Adobe LiveCycle 13-07-2010
Is this an event related to an anonymous user doing something with a document?

Re: How do I insert the users email address in the watermark? - Adobe LiveCycle 13-05-2010
Correct, you can't insert a user's email address into the watermark as a variable. You can show the user's full name, or his login. Have you happened to map either of those fields to the full email address in User Manager? That would be a workaround I guess.

Re: Acrobat (Reader) 8 not capable of opening AES-256 protected rights management PDF? - Adobe LiveCycle 30-03-2010
Acrobat/Reader 9 were the first version to incorporate AES-256 code, so if you want to remain backwards compatible with Reader 7 or 8 you need to continue to use AES-128. I believe this is documented in the help for the section that describes how policy edit works.Jonathan
