Whenever I use the Water Cooler, the scroll for the chat starts at the top which means I have to scroll down each time there's a new message. This make using chat rather tedious.Side comment - you might want to include a visual indicator of the type of pop up you're getting. For example, you could use a water cooler in the message to visually represent a water cooler pop up.

One idea would be to have messages in chat include an icon to the left of the chat message and the right of the time an icon which references the product topic. In the text field where you type your comment you can select the product or category. In that column you could also sort an pivot on the chat topic. Since multiple users are chatting on multiple topics, this would make the chat function a little easier to use.
