Re: Shrink-to-fit text default font size - Adobe LiveCycle 18-12-2019
Hi, I know this is years too late, but could help someone. I developed this javascript for Acrobat Pro. I found someone that had a version of it and build on it a bit more. Place this in the event custom calculation. It is a bit iffy is you try to use it with rich text, but fine for multi and single line and scrolling text. What happens is it will set the font to auto originally so any length can be typed in and it will shrink if needed. You can then set a character limit for size 12 to be appli...

Re: form global variable cannot update between session - Adobe LiveCycle 30-08-2016
OK,my suggestion: You check the filed metadata to determine if the file hase been saved since it was created.//Retrieve the creation and modification dates from the forms metadatavar dateCreate = parseInt( Date.parse( event.target.info['CreationDate'].toString() ) ), dateMod = parseInt ( Date.parse(event.target.info['ModDate'].toString() ) ), allowedDifference = 60 * 1000, //allow one minute after creation to apply Reader Extensions to form hasBeenSaved;xfa.resolveNode("#subform.Textfield1").raw...

Re: Can I change ordering of pages in script? - Adobe LiveCycle 22-08-2016
Right, this is what I feared. And I think I get what you mean with the dynamic flow.I was hoping for a simpler approach though. Thanks for your time

Re: Disable fillable fields - Adobe LiveCycle 22-09-2017
BR001's response will work if you are looking to restrict data on the whole document or a page at a time. From what you said the HR department will fill out some fields and you then want to lock them. If the form is designed so that the HR section is page1 and the employee signs page 2 then you can accomplish this by using something like: xfa.resolveNode("form1.Page1").access = "protected"This assumes your form page is labeled page one. If you did not label it and just used the default then it w...

Re: How can I reuse a script to set variables? - Adobe LiveCycle 19-08-2016
I must admit I haven't used functions that much in LiveCycle, the idea with the way I wrote it was just an example of general function syntax. The difference between the way I wrote the function and your way (which works excellently for you) is that in your case you can't "impact" your function. Your function at this moment is simply a set piece of instructions that will be called the same way each time (of course your variables might have changed but you can't change how you use them).Let me try...

Re: Convert an excel formula into javscript for livecycle - Adobe LiveCycle 03-08-2016
Okay then the code will be: if (DecimalField4.rawValue < 1){ DecimalField25.rawValue = DecimalField2.rawValue } else { DecimalField25.rawValue = DecimalField4.rawValue }And to make it more rigid use full paths to your fields, for example "form1.page1.DecimalField4.rawValue".And this code should be entered on the calculate event for the DecimalField25 I would say. (could probably be used on an exit event of DecimalField4 aswell, seeing it seems like you do a lookup on that value).Hope this has he...

Thank you so much! That's definitely more understandable. I'll try that!
