@Prem_IB the file which contains executable code is recommended to be downloaded, for example XML, SVG, txt, etc. let us take a simple use case, usually, we use a .svg file to render the images, but at the same time, you can also execute javascript within the SVG file. The problem with this is if you open the SVG within the browser then there is a chance that the attackers can run malicious code in the browser. In this case, you need to set the correct mime type that is image/svg+xml and also us...

You should be able to use Adobe IMS to work with any of the Adobe Cloud offerings. I've helped a few clients setup IMS to work with the AEM instances managed by Adobe AMS. You should be able to work with your Adobe CSE to complete this. If you are referring to setting up IMS with an on-prem AEM implementation, I don't think that is currently possible.

@AEMnewbie I agree with @Arun_Patidar and @Shashi_Mulugu , but then since you told you don't want to write one time script, as your authors might be the one who is going to do this , I would say create a custom tools page which will be like a utility page for the authors. In the way you think best suits for the authors give them the option to choose the components from the page which they want to copy or move. It will totally depend on your requirement, but that would be one way to do it I guess...

@TB3dock As stated by others, adobe uses Fastly CDN, but if you already have a CDN, you use on top of Fastly so that it will be always under your control for domains, redirects and other settings.

Adobe uses Fastly CDN and it comes with DDOS protection. AEM as a Cloud Service also offers reliable protection against (distributed) denial-ofservice (DDoS) attacks on three different levels:• Edge filtering all non-HTTP/HTTPS traffic to block disruptive Layer 3 and Layer 4attacks• Protection against generic Layer 7 threats enforced by logic running on the CDNs cachenodes• Additional Layer 7 filtering throughout the network stack to mitigate AEM specificattack vectors For more details please se...

If I explicitly give read permission to anonymous to the page in /conf, it does seem to work. I am not sure how the SlingAuthenticator fits in, I'll try throwing it away and see if makes a difference.

Unfortunately I don't have a any realistic example for that, because in many cases you get quite far with the standard patterns (e.g the default content struture recommended by the product), and in most cases the whole design process is not documented at all (in the best case you get the decisions, but often not even these).

The short, right answer for the question itself is the apache rewrite NE flag. The long answer... is that you shouldn't send JSON objects in URLs for many many reasons. Some options:1. Use a POST2. Save that JSON in the browser session or local storage and read it on the next page.3. At least transform that JSON in "normal" URL params and pass that...

Yes the foundation components are deprecated. But since there is no alternate yet available in core components, you can create your own version of reference component. It should be easy to build and it will be good if you can contribute it to core components project as well.

You can connect it to running AEM instance JVM to monitor the stats of standard JVM provided and AEM specific Mbeans. In your AEM startup script you need to add the following system variable. -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=portNumIf you require authentication then you can set it via - -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.password.file=pwFilePath -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=8463 More details can be found here-https://helpx.adobe.com/in/experience-manager/6-3/sites/administering/using/jmx-c...

@Prashanth96,One way is by using the AEM groovy console to find all those pages, and update the sling:resourceType, cq:template, you can create a migration script. https://github.com/icfnext/aem-groovy-console The migration script would look something like this: // example of finding all nodes with the sling:resourceType == 'my-site/components/structure/page'; def doMigration() { def queryManager = session.workspace.queryManager def statement = "/jcr:root/content/my-site//*[@sling:resourceType='...

@AEMWizard, Try installing the latest service pack, without restarting your AEM instance, you can also trigger the update OSGI bundle life cycle to "update" the org.apache.sling.i18n bundle.curl -u admin:admin http://localhost:4502/system/console/bundles/org.apache.sling.i18n -Faction=update

You should prefer to store UGC outside of AEM in an external store. If not possible then use Sling content distribution to synchronize user data across publish instances. Reference - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/experience-manager/6-3/sites/administering/using/sync.html
