I seemed to have found a workaround by starting from scratch, and creating groups containing each respective question, drop-down menu, and expandable text field. To add space between sections, I created an empty text box and added that to the group above it (so the objects below wouldn't snap up to the others). It seems like there should be a better way that isn't so haphazard. I can't wrap my head around the behavior of this application.

They are, but when I set them back to positioned, all the text stacks up together. It just makes no sense. I found if I create groups the objects don't move as much, but if I miss the positioning of one object and have to tweak it, and thus switch the subform back to positioned, it all gets jumbled up again.

I created a form with expandable text fields and drop-down menus (it's a performance review form for employees) and need to make some layout changes to it, however when I try to move objects they either don't move at all or snap to another position far from what I was trying to do. The first page is fine (and contains a positioned subform) but none of the others work as they did when I first assembled the form. All I need to do is move a series of text fields to the right to indent them, and none...
