I have a table where the first two fields are required (not by the User Entered-Required value, but because of javascript on the signature field that checks certain fields before the form can be signed). They are also formatted to be red if there is no value in the field and white if there is a value in the field (javascript on the docReady, docClose and Exit events). This works perfectly if there is only one row. But once I add a row (instanceManager) the two fields are not checked for being re...

In the JavaScript for the Signature Field - in both Enter and Initialize I have it checking all the required fields to make sure that they are filled out. If not, then there is an app.alert and the Signature Field remains "read only." Once all of the required fields are filled out, the Signature Field is "open". Here is what is under preSign in the Signature Field: myScriptObject.LockAllFields(vetInspection, "Lock"); //Locks all fields buttons.submit.presence="visible"; //button is active to sub...

We have created a form in LiveCycle 9.0 targeting Acrobat 9.0 or higher. This form has a signature field. When the signature is entered, a number of calculated fields are filled, the form is locked and the signature created. At this point, the signature shows up as completely valid. When the form is saved and reopened, Acrobat shows that “some signatures require validation.” When the user clicks “Validate All” the signature shows as valid but with post signature property changes. The only thing ...

I have an LC form where I have scripted the signature field not to be open until all required fields are filled out. After the required fields are all filled out, then the form is locked, and the signature is applied. There are two buttons (Submit and Print) that need to be active after the signature is applied (they are not locked). But there is also one field that has to be unlocked and be able to be filled in after the signature is applied (this field doesn't invalidate the integrity of the s...

Niall,What would the script be to duplicate from the previous instance instead of from the first instance? So if you have apples in the first instance, add a row and change to oranges, how would you make sure that the oranges row copied next? Thanks!Scott

Hi Bruce, The form won’t have a reset button, and it would be best if they didn’t save over the original form, but did a save as (each time they fill in the form will be for a different client). Would I be able to house a local Excel spreadsheet to act as a “data base” that they can pull numbers from? Thanks,Scott

I have a very detailed form that I created in Acrobat 9 that has an autonumber field that increases by one everytime that it opens. I need to change some things on the form, so I want to work on it in LC ES. I am unable to find how to make this autonumber script in LC that automatically increases when opening the form. I have found things that you have to save over the original form in order for it to work. Basically it will live on a local machine. The person will open up the original form (whi...

Thanks to you both for your help. Srini,my limited knowledge makes it hard for me to exactly follow your script - would I put this on the Print button or another button? Does it include the command to print if all required fields are filled in?Paul, I think yours was a little easier to follow. It seemed to work, but something weird is happening (probably from the original script for making the text field mandatory from the checkbox). Let me outline my sample form and provide the script and tell ...

I am an absolute newbie to scripting, so I do a lot of copying and pasting and editing from online. Here is my problem: I am creating a license application form in LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2 (the free one with Acrobat Professional 9). I have about a dozen or so fields (basic demographic info) that I made required on the form (this I did through the Object>Value>User Entered-Required palette). I have a checkbox that the licensees would check if they are operating at more than one facility. I "figu...
