Why does PDF Preview Crash - Adobe LiveCycle 01-04-2011
I installed theAcrobat X trial version, ran it for a few days, uninstalled it, reinstalled Acrobat Pro Extended 9.0 and installed all the updates to bring me to 9.4.3. LiveCycle Designer runs but when I select the PDF Preview tab, it crashed with a C++ Runtime error pointing to FormDesigner.exe. Also, when I create a PDF from Word 2003, it seems like PDFMaker is trying to run twice at the same time. Is there some residue from Acrobat X that still needs to be removed?

Re: Runtime Error! FormDesigner.exe - Adobe LiveCycle 30-03-2011
Add me to the list. I was fine until I installed the trial versionof Acrobat X. I had been running Acrobat 9.4 Pro Extended on Windows XP. After removing the trial version, LiveCycle Designer givesme the Runtime C++ error pointing to FormDesigner.exe and crashes when I select the PDF Preview tab. I have run the repair/reinstall several times and robooted several times. I guess the lesson isto leave Adobe trial versions alone.Mike

Re: 'This operation is not permitted' message - Adobe LiveCycle 22-03-2010
I've struggled with the same annoyance and found that both of the forms showing this behavior have had the touch-up text or typewriter tool used in Acrobat before the Reader extensions were applied. I went back and created the form without using the typewriter or touch-up text tool and the form behaves perfectly. Hope this helps.
