Hi,I have a requirement in which I am using OOTB catalog rollout to generate PDP and its parent pages and it is working as expected. Now I have requirement where I want to generate Listing Page(i.e. parent of PDP) but don't want to generate PDPs. Is there any configuration using which I can achieve this. I tried it with not giving the PDP template in dialog, but it was then also, it was generating the PDP without any resource type.Any help is much appreciated.ThanksRajeev Kumar

There is a possibility that you have configured the service configuration in OSGi console before making any run mode specific config file and the configuration is stored under '/apps/system/config'. Because '/apps/system/config' has precedence over '/apps/project/config', the configuration value is always picked from '/apps/system/config'. So, I would suggest you to check '/apps/system/config' path and if the configuration exists there for your service, delete it.

Runmodes are helpful if you have different configuration for different environment. Suppose you have a DEV, UAT and PROD environment and you site has a database connection. It is obvious that you will have different database configuration for each environment. So, you commit the separate configuration for each environment in specific run modes. For example, for the dev environment, you commit the configuration in config.author.dev, config.publish.dev folder. In the same fashion, you commit the c...

Hi,In our website, CUG are applied on all page except login and error pages. When a page is accessed, it redirects to the login page and after logging in, it open that page. The problem is with vanity url. If I apply a vanity url to a secured page and try to access it after login, it is working fine. But without login, it gives 404 page rather than redirecting to login page.We are using etc/maps for resolving the resource and ACS commons error page handler. From logs, we found that vanity url is b...

Hi All,I have written a replication agent on my author instance which index the content pages on a search server on activation of page. The issue I am facing is it index the long url. But I need to index the short url. If I apply the rule under etc/map tree on my author instance, this rule gets applied when an author opens the page. So, my usecase is to index the short url from author to search server, but when an author open the page on author environment, it should show the long url. Thanks in a...

Hi,I have a requirement where I need to apply CUG on DAM Folder in AEM 6.3. There is option to add CUG on folders in classic UI but that is not working.I applied the CUG by adding user group, login page and enable CUG checkbox, but when accessing an asset, instead of redirecting to login page, it is giving 404 error.I also tried by adding same properties on asset level as described in blog .But this is also not working.Any suggestion or help would be really helpful. Thanks in advance.

Yes. Extending the components will change the resource type and you need to take care of that in js file. But when you check the stored content, you will find that the resource type stored content is ootb component resource type and not yours.

If you want to change the resource type, you'll have to customize the backend code. But if your resource type is not changing, it should work with existing apis.

I looked at the journal jar, there component resources type is hard coded. That's why it is being set to ootb component resource type.

If you compare blog page url (where all blogs are listed ) to blog detail page, you can notice that actual url is not changing. Only a selector (entry) and suffix (date) is being added. Due to this selector(entry) , entry_topic.hbs file is resolved which shows the blog content and its title. My guess is, if you would change the url, this entry_topic.hbs file will not be resolved and blog content will not be visible.

For 1st approach : I guess, you have created the abc.jsp. If yes, then it wont include base.jsp file which actually include your header file. So, the approach should be like : in base component, create body.jsp, and base.jsp. Base.jsp should include body and header jsp.Now in Abc component, you create body.jsp and write the html code related to this component. This should include the header.jsp in all pages. For approach 2 : iparsys works on template level. So, if you have included the header com...

Facebook login does not work in AEM 6.2 if you have not upgraded the instance with FP/SP.This is due to by default AEM 6.2 supports FB api version < 2.5. However, if you fully upgrade the instance with FP/SP, it'll work.

Hi Brijesh, Tunnel service is only used to sync user between author and publish environment. To sync the UGC, you need to use either of MSRP, DSRP and ASRP. Here is the doc for srp configuration SRP - Community Content Storage

Hi, One use case I faced in Aem 6.2 is if any of the classes is using annotations from package 'org.osgi.service.component.annotations', annotations of package 'org.apache.felix.scr' are ignored by Aem. So, you can take a look at the codebase if any class is using annotation from 'org.osgi' annotation package.

I checked it on the page inside community-components. I dropped the sidebar component and configured the journal component path to the blog component on current page. It is not working. There is one more thing to mention about sidebar component that if I click on the Archive Link ( Generated by sidebar component) no result is shown. When I inspected the link it is like href="/content/community-components/en/journal.html?filter=added+gt+%272017-06-01T00%3A00%3A00Z%27&filter=added+lt+%272017-06-30T...

You have started the path with ./ which denotes the current page path. For absolute path (for eg. /var/audit/test) enter the value without '.'

You should add the name property to field and give its values as path (where you want to store this). This path could be absolute or relative.

I think, you need to create a task to achieve this. However, creating a task will enable the complete, delegate functionality (which aem provides OOTB). Here is one of the way to create a task. acs-aem-samples/SampleTaskManagementImpl.java at master · Adobe-Consulting-Services/acs-aem-samples · GitHub

Hi Pallavi,You can not get the User object of transport user. However, you can get the transport user id and password and using this you can create User object to check permission of User. The way you can get the transport user id is : Get the 'com.day.cq.replication.AgentManager' (I think resourceResolver can be adapted to this). Then Get the agent using Agent agent = agentMgr.getAgents().get("id") where id is the replication agent Id and then you can do the following to get transportUserId and ...

If I am using the Aem 6.2 version without any FP, it is working fine. My bundle is active with dependency com.adobe.cq.social cq-socialcommunities-api 1.10.111 provided because Aem is exposing 1.1.32 version of 'com.adobe.cq.social.scf.core' api.

com.day.cq.replication.Replicator has a method 'getReplicationStatus' whic returns the object of 'ReplicationStatus' and it has methods like 'isActivated', 'isDeactivated' 'isDelivered' etc to check if content is replicated or not.
