Decode Base64 barcode data from XML file - Adobe LiveCycle 09-10-2012
Hi,I'm trying to populate a read-only PDF417 barcode field in a dynamic PDF form which is bound to a data field in an XML data file. The XML field is Base64 encoded because it contains ASCII control chars. How do I decode the data in LiveCycle before displaying it in the barcode field? The form is populated via Coldfusion using the cfpdform tag merging the XML data.I'm using LiveCycle Designer ES2 version 9Any suggestions or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bind XML data to PDF417 barcode - LiveCycle Designer ES - Adobe LiveCycle 18-09-2012
Trying to create a shipping form for a supplier that contains a PDF417 barcode. The source data will come from an XML data file. The form in not interactive, the data file will simply populate the pdf form, read-only via a Coldfusion program that queries our shipping data. But I'm not quite able to connect the dots. Does anyone know how to supply the data in the correct format within the XML doc? It consists of 5 fields / row, with 10 rows max. I'm unclear because the barcode software previously...

Insert table column - nothing happens - Adobe LiveCycle 29-03-2011
New to LiveCucle Designer ES and working on a form with a flowable table. I'd like to add 2 columns but nothing is happening as far as I can tell. The option is not grayed out, but no columns are inserted. Should be simple enough, so it's probably something obvious, that just isn't obvious to me right now. Any ideas? I really appreciate it. Re: Populate XML data in static form - Adobe LiveCycle 28-03-2011
I believe I have resolved my issue. I have defined a variable named newlineusing .Then the XML data includes this variable:#so.soldTo.address1# #newline# #so.soldTo.address2#I will fine tune the assignment so that the newlines are only added when the optional data is non-blank.Thank you very much for your help. Have a good day! Barb

Re: Populate XML data in static form - Adobe LiveCycle 28-03-2011
Yes Paul, you understood my issue correctly. Sounds like a better route to take would be to create my XML file a little differently. Maybe I can combine my non-blank data fields into one element and simply place the single element on the form instead of each individual element. I am new to creating XML files. Do you know how I would create an element that contains line breaks? I tried using the CDATA designator and tags to separate my data, but that simply displayed the tags as text in my form...

Populate XML data in static form - Adobe LiveCycle 25-03-2011
Trying to determine if LiveCycle Designer ES can be used as a Print Form Generator for us. Setting up a Sales Quote form which contains data fields that are not always populated, such as a customer's second address line. I'd like this field to be invisible and collapse when the XML file contains a blank value for it. Is there a property that will do this? I've seen this attribute on other products, but have not found it on any of the pallettes. Thank you in advance for any help. It is very much ...
