We had the same issue. We found out that the API integration that we
were using did not have sufficient permissions. Here's what we did to

We're running VisitorID v1.8, which was released 9/2016. The November
release included v1.9, with some notes referencing cross domain issues
that it fixed.Fixed a bug that prevented the ID service from passing the

Yes, we use the MCID and have some (not many) cross domain links.
Nothing that has changed recently/around that timeframe. And
cross-domain wouldn't explain the browser specific issues, would it?
We've been seeing the same: an increase in the share of Session Refresh
visits compared to all other channels. This began on or around 9/27/2016
and affects all report suites and locales. Digging into this, it appears
that most of these visits with newer browsers -- most specifically
Safari 10.0 and 9.0 (2 of the 3 top browsers we currently see). We have

A quick update, Ben Gaines (a product manager from Adobe) commented on
this at ideas.omniture.com (see the link above). There should be a fix
to this issue in the October 2016 release. The takeaway for other issues
in Workspace (and other products): use ideas.omniture.com.
