Hi Kumar,We ultimately abandoned this requirement but we did manage to get something working. We created a custom authentication handler by extending SamlAuthenticationHandler. In extractCredentials() we explicitly check the request path and the user's group membership and return FAIL_AUTH if we need to force authentication.import com.adobe.granite.auth.saml.SamlAuthenticationHandler;...public class CustomSamlAuthenticationHandler extends SamlAuthenticationHandler { @Override public Authenticatio...

Hmmmm...Maybe I'm mistaken. This doesn't seem to work without a custom transformer.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. I believe this is the solution:I need to configure the Sling Rewriter as described here:http://wcm.io/handler/url/rewriter.htmlIt's a special configuration that goes under /apps/{appName}/config/rewriter/{configName}.The important part looks like this:Also note that that the {appName} part of the configuration path MUST be a single node. You can't have something like /apps/company/app1/config/... Sling will ignore it.

Hi Jitendra,Thanks for the suggestion.I tried adding a few different mappings for /content/dam but it doesn't seem to make a difference. For now I'm mapping /content/dam to itself so that it's effectively excluded from the mapping. So direct requests to images under /content/dam work correctly. However, regardless of how I map /content/dam, image components continue to render with /content/app1 in the path. Thanks,David

Hi Everyone,I'm using /etc/map rules to remove /content/appname from requests. This works properly for incoming HTTP requests. However, image tags rendered in Sightly templates are not rewritten. For example, if I have an image component at /content/app1/en/news/image, the src attributes in the image tag is not rewritten. It's still something likeI would like it to beI tried adding "img:src" to the set of mappings in Link Checker Transformer but this has no effect.I assume I can create a custom r...

So sorry, I don't have a working configuration file. Are you sure that Dispatcher is loading the correct configuration file? If you intentionally break the configuration do you see errors in the Dispatcher log?For example, if you change "/auth_checker" to "/auth_checker_broken" or just "auth_checker_broken" (with no preceding slash), does Dispatcher complain?

Thanks, Opkar.Unfortunately the same user can have access to both areas. That's really the main complication here.A user can have access (via group membership) to both paths. But they still need to authenticate a second time when accessing a SAML2 path.

Ok sorry. I configured permission sensitive caching a while ago and I recall that I had to futz with the configuration to get it right. But I don't remember what exactly was the problem. If you put some garbage in there or misspell auth_checker does Dispatcher complain after startup about the broken configuration? Is Dispatcher definitely reading that section of the configuration?

Hi All,I have a business requirement where I need to protect 2 paths with different SAML configurations in AEM 6.1. Each path has a different level of security and different IDP login/logout URLs.Additionally, if a user is logged in via path1 (SAML1 configuration) and attempts to access path2, then the user must be redirected to log in via SAML2 configuration. So there's 2 levels of security - and SAML challenges.Problem 1: If the user logs in via SAML1, the SAML2 challenge is never triggered. T...

Hi Jörg,I haven't been able to reproduce the issue in other environments. The production environment has more content than the other environments so I assume that's why. I'm going to see if I can create a replica of production and test with that. Thanks,David Frenkiel

We'll definitely reindex at some point. And maybe/hopefully after a reindex the problem will go away permanently. The corruption happens during perfectly normal operation as far as I can tell. It doesn't appear to be related to crashes or sudden restarts. Thanks!

Hi All, I'm experiencing some index corruption in an AEM 5.6.1 author production index. I can't replicate it locally or on staging instances that mirror the production environment. The problem occurs intermittently when moving an asset in a custom workflow process via Session.move(). The move operation doesn't generate any exceptions and the asset is properly moved to its new location. For example, workflowSession.getSession().move(oldPath, newPath). After the (silent) corruption JCR queries ret...

Hi All.I'm trying to get a workflow step to time out and advance to the next step via the Auto Advancer. However the workflow never advances.I have a test with a couple of no-op process steps. I'd like the first step to time out and automatically advance to the second step. For the first step I unchecked Handler Advance, set timeout to Immediate, and selected the Auto Advance timeout handler. However the workflow never advances past the first step.Is there a workflow timeout service that's suppo...

Hi Adobe. Many documentation URLs are busted. For example, https://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/workflows/wf-extending.html https://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/workflows/wf-using.htmlThese came up as a result of a search for "workflow" from the main documentation page at http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current.htmlThanks!

Hi All.I'd like to do a very simple internal redirect regardless of domain. For example, I want requests to /myappto map internally to /apps/mycompany/myappAnd anything under this path would be mapped appropriately. For example, http://localhost:4502/myapp/whatever.jswould return the file located at /apps/mycompany/myapp/whatever.jsIs there a way to do this? I'm on AEM 5.6.1.Thanks!David Frenkiel

I think that exception is due to a change in Java 7: http://bugs.java.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7193557It'll probably go away if you use Java 6 instead. What version of CQ are you running? And you might want to verify that both instances are in fact running on Java 7 (e.g. via "ps -ef" or Windows Task Manager or something).Otherwise maybe that code isn't being executed on your local instance for some reason.

Thanks for the info, Sham. You're correct, I only need to ensure that the DR author is in sync with all its DR publishers. It's ok if there's some downtime or data loss.Regarding option 2, how do I set up replication between the authors so that everything is replicated? By default only activated items are replicated. For example, if I upload an image to the DAM (but I don't activate it) how do I set up replication so that the image is copied to the DR author instance? For option 3, I need to preve...

Hi All.I'm trying to develop a disaster recovery strategy for CQ5.6 but it seems like all solutions are ultimately deficient in one way or another. The environment has 1 author and 4 publishers. These appear to be some of the options:1) Clustering: This gets me an exact replica of my environment but clustering requires very good network throughput between instances. If my primary and DR instances are on opposite sides of the United States then I can't get the required throughput. And does cluster...

As it turns out it looks like I didn't need to go down this path to get SAML working at specific paths.I just needed to add /saml_login to the list of repository paths in the SAML configuration. All mysteries solved I think/pray.Thanks!David Frenkiel

Thanks, Ove! I think that fixes it.This is part of getting SAML authentication configured at a specific path (not the default /). So we won't actually be allowing anonymous POSTs.If I have the SAML path set to /content/geometrixx, for example, then I need to configure Sling authentication to ignore requests to /saml_login. And thus, as per your suggestion, I have to allow everyone write access to /saml_login.I still need to get the entire configuration going to see if the full SAML flow works, b...

I need to allow unauthenticated access to certain JCR paths. So I added a path exception to the Sling Authentication Service configuration under "authentication requirements". In the attached screenshot the path is /test1.If I then POST to that path (via curl -X POST http://localhost:4502/test1) the request handler thread gets locked up forever and the CPU spikes.I'm assuming there's something else I need to configure somewhere. Or maybe there's a hotfix that would help? Any thoughts? The entire ...

Ok great. So you've isolated the problem to a specific piece of Javascript code.I can't make any recommendations as to how to fix your Javascript code. But if you want to post the code here on the forum I can take a quick look.

I'm just suggesting that you temporarily remove date.js to determine if the bad code is in date.js.If you already know that the problem is in date.js then I suggest disabling pieces of date.js so that you can further isolate the problem. So my suggestions aren't actually going solve the problem. It's just to help find the exact source of the problem.Once you find the exact source of the problem you can figure out how to fix it.

To remove/disable the Javascript code you can...1) Remove date.js from the js.txt file.2) Delete the contents of date.js.3) Put comments around everything in date.js.4) Change its clientlibs "categories" property so that it's no longer included. However, if you're directly referencing date.js in a script include I don't think this will work. You can quickly try any of these options in CRXDE.If you still see problems then you should verify that date.js is definitely disabled. You can do this by vi...
