I'm using designer 9 to create a PDF that will import an XML document on initialization and will use that document to populated multiple dependent dropdown lists. That's working fine in preview when I use xfa.datasets.data.mydataset to access the XML document and proceed to manipulate the XML with e4x.Now I have the form working correctly in designer preview and I want to reader extend the form and configure the data connection to access the XML file dynamically instead of using the preview data....

Yes, we're connected to the same server. When I expand some of the "property groups", nothing is displayed. The light green progress bar appears for a few seconds as if the properties are being loaded, then nothign appears. nothing appears in the workspace log either. This only happens to some property groups, I was using the "custom email template" group as an example.I tried deinstalling/deleting all of the Workbench components/folders from my system and reinstalling, and that worked for a per...

Both are version 9.5. I understand that the user assign activity is deprecated, but it's part of some ES 8.2 processes that are part of an upgraded server. ES version processes are supposed to be totally compatible with ES2 but my experience tells me otherwise.

If Workspace is used to work with tasks, then a task would have status "Process Draft" once a Workspace User has saved the task (via Save button, see image) but not yet completed the task.

This will happen if your process instance runs in a indefinite loop.To verify that, look at the recording file size. If its too large, there are changes for the playback to freeze.Nith

Thanks for the help in this, I was able to find the cause. The siteminder apache module has a badurlchars parameter that was apparently configured to deny any requests containing space(I have no idea why). The configuration issue was not observed until the upgrade to ES2 and the change in attachment handling that results.

Did you try any of the following APIs?TaskManagerServiceTaskManagerQueryServiceProcessManagerI hope there are methods to retrieve the form for a specific task. You will have to write a client application (e.g a Flex app) to implement that.Nith

That is odd. I did beleive that when you set Run As Invoker on a long loved process, then that will set the execution context for each of the steps that are invoked via the Work Manager (thus overriding the default behavior) but I will double check for you (maybe it was a chnage in behavior in ES2)

WorkSpace ES 8.1 requires Reader 7.0.5 (and above), 8.0 (and above), and 8.1 (and above). I believe ES 8.1 pre-dates Reader 9.0 (and above). Acrobat support is the same as Reader support.Steve

If it's possible, I think the safest thing would be to restore the DB to a working state. If not, you can check with support to see if they can help.Sorry.Jasmin

I opened the Queue Sharing process and it calls the shareQueue operation of the QueueSharingService service. It seems that service is the one that actually creates the share. Try calling that service directly from your process.I didn't try it, but I think that will do what you want.scott

Hi Michel/NW987,I would like to configure the SSL to run with the customized workspace but could not make it work by following the instructions in the Adobe document "Administering LiveCycle ES". Do you have any document for the configuration of SSL? If so, can you please share it here. I would appreciate much. Thanks in advance,Han Dao

To expand on Nith's response....In the Web Service, go to Web Service Response tab and you will see the property "CDATA list". The property requires a variable of type "list".Create a process variable of type 'list" with a sub-type of "document". Let's call the variable "cdataList". Assign the variable "cdataList" to the property "CDATA list". This will handle parsing the CDATA section from the SOAP response envelope.Create another variable of type "xml" and call it "approvalChainXml", perhaps.A...
