Re: Adobe restructuring, Paul Guerette, et al NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Can anyone find a clear statement of direction for the former Livecycle ES family of products(Designer, Process Management, Forms, etc.)? I've struggled to grasp the ADEP vision, so with the latest announcements I'm at a loss all together. The lawyer-speak announcements made at the corporate meetings this week are not particularly informative. Adobe apparently did not mention efforts in the ADEP area during the Max keynote, and that in hindsight appears to be telling. Clearly if they're letting ...

Importing XML Data into a Reader Extended PDF NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
I'm using designer 9 to create a PDF that will import an XML document on initialization and will use that document to populated multiple dependent dropdown lists. That's working fine in preview when I use xfa.datasets.data.mydataset to access the XML document and proceed to manipulate the XML with e4x.Now I have the form working correctly in designer preview and I want to reader extend the form and configure the data connection to access the XML file dynamically instead of using the preview data....

Re: Assign Task Custom Notification Properties NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Yes, we're connected to the same server. When I expand some of the "property groups", nothing is displayed. The light green progress bar appears for a few seconds as if the properties are being loaded, then nothign appears. nothing appears in the workspace log either. This only happens to some property groups, I was using the "custom email template" group as an example.I tried deinstalling/deleting all of the Workbench components/folders from my system and reinstalling, and that worked for a per...

Re: Assign Task Custom Notification Properties NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Gilbert, thanks. It was the show "All" and not the "Basic" configuration properties that I was looking for(duh).I'm still having the problem that I described in this thread though. http://forums.adobe.com/message/3564992#3564992I thought I was experiencing a similar problem today, and that's why I started the new thread. The problem described in the other thread occurs consistently, and my co worker does not have the problem.

Assign Task Custom Notification Properties NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Does anyone have a problem with missing properties when creating an Assign Task with the UserServiceV2 in ES? According to this document, there should be a way(Custom Email Templates property group) to override the default system notification settings. How can the notifications be customized?http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/workbenchHelp/help.htm?content=000995.html

Re: Missing Activity Properties NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Both are version 9.5. I understand that the user assign activity is deprecated, but it's part of some ES 8.2 processes that are part of an upgraded server. ES version processes are supposed to be totally compatible with ES2 but my experience tells me otherwise.

Missing Activity Properties NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Very strange problem here. I'm trying to update some process activity properties and they've disappeared. In the screenshot below, below the Custom Email Template Category, there should be several options for defining the properties. The properties are obviously missing and I can't find a way to get them back. I've tried resetting the perspective, and even deleting the entire local copy of the applicaction, but neither have worked. I've spent several hours on this issue. Help...

Task Status "Process Draft" NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
I''m working with support on an issue that I previously describe here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/777349?tstart=0I noticed with one of the process instances that encountered the issue, that the task status is set to "Process Draft" instead of the task status that I'm typically used to seeing when a task is assigned, which is "Process Created." The only bit of info that I could find on "Process Draft" is here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/adminHelp/000354.htmlDoes anyone know why...

Re: Recording Replay Issues NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Here is another one. I'll replay a process instance. It will start fine, but after a few process activities, the replay window will freeze, but the progress bar at the top will continue. I have to close the workbench completely and reopen it to continue with anything.

Re: Please help: Attach Documents!! NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
We update PDF Fields using FormDataIntegration -> exportData, and after updating values in XML, FormDataIntegration -> importData. These are apparently being depracated in ES2 though.

Recording Replay Issues NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
I'm seeing two consistent issues with the process replays(ES2 SP2).One is that workbench completely crashes when I replay a specific process. A workaround that I've found for this is to open the process first in the editor and then select a process instance to replay. The second issue is that I can't delete process recordings. When I pick the delete recordings option, no process instances appear in the list. I can replay the recordings, though, so I know there are several. Is anyone else seeing th...

Re: PDFs rendering as XDPs NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Please take a look at the attached screenshots. I removed the name of the form. The bottom line is that the form appears to be fine during the process replay(I can view the PDF) but it is not appearing in the workspace correctly. This has occurred multiple times. Thanks.Nick

Re: PDFs rendering as XDPs NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
We're using an 8.2 process so I don't think the "Presentation and Data tab" question applies. We are using a Document Form variable to hold the PDF. And I can confirm with the process recording that the variable does in fact contain the form. When that form is presented to the next approver, though, only XDP XML appears. This only happens with some form instances. We also have to use the entire PDF because we're using digital signatures.

PDFs rendering as XDPs NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
We're using version 9 SP2 with a version 8.2 process. We have forms that are rendered and submitted as PDFs in workspace. Occasionally, when a form is proceeding through the process steps, it is somehow becoming an XDP only, so when the the next approver logs into workspace to view the form, the only data they are presented with is XDP XML.I can replay an example of this occurring. A form is rendered and submitted at step 1 as a PDF. Following this step, I can view the form in the process recordi...

Re: ES2 Upgrade Issue NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
When I successfully upgraded our dev environment, I did not need to reinstall the reader credential. It used the existing credential that was installed in version 8.2However, after upgrading this second environment, the reader extension credential was missing. When I attempted to install it using the admin ui, I received an error, and the stack trace listed above was writted to the error log. I did try using the same alias. So it appears something went wrong during the uprade and I'm trying to fi...

ES2 Upgrade Issue NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
I'm ugrading a second(I've already upgrade one server successfully) instance of livecycle 8.2 to livecycle ES2 SP2 and I'm receiving errors post upgrade. The upgrade seems to go smoothly until I try to login to workspace after and I'm unable to render PDFs.There is a problem with the reader extension/reader extension credentials. Exporting a ES 8.2 Process in ES2 9 NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Is there any way to export and migrate an ES version process in ES2? When I try to create an LCA, I'm getting a message that states "The LCA can't be created due to the selected applications contain 41 imported legacy resources as below that still have deployment IDs." I understand what legacy deployment are, but I don't want to upgrade these processes to ES2 compatible yet. I have to be able to make updates to this processes in prod as the upgrade created incompatibilities that have to be addre...

Re: Space in task attachment name NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks for the help in this, I was able to find the cause. The siteminder apache module has a badurlchars parameter that was apparently configured to deny any requests containing space(I have no idea why). The configuration issue was not observed until the upgrade to ES2 and the change in attachment handling that results.

Re: Space in task attachment name NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks for the help so far, I'm taking another look at this. It's clear at this point that the problem is related to the Apache<->JBoss configuration. Are you using mod_jk, or mod_proxy in your Apache configuration? Either way, would you be able to share the relevant snippet from you http.conf or ssl.conf? It appears from my research that the noncanon option of mod_proxy is part of the solution, but I'm having trouble getting the exact combination. The original configuration that I used is http://...

Re: Space in task attachment name NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
Thanks. I'm using ES2 SP2.It's odd. When I manipulate the port # in the attachment URL to go directly to jboss(without the Apache proxy), I'm also able to retrieve the attachment. So the original problem remains, but the two work around combinations that I've found are:https://:/workspace-server/documents/3363251748108822060-47 /nick%20form1.pdfhttps:///workspace-server/documents/3363251748108822060-47 /nickform1.pdf

Re: Space in task attachment name NW987 - Adobe LiveCycle
It's a PDF attachment with the out of the box workspace. If I use a file attachment with the name "nickform1.pdf", the attachment opens fine. If I use an attachment name "nick form1.pdf", the attachment does not open. When using an attachment with a space in the filename, the URL the form is looking for is https:///workspace-server/documents/3363251748108822060-47/nick%20form1.pdf, which appears to be correct. If I manually remove the %20 from the browser URL bar, the attachment does open. So it a...
