Okay so I found the solution and answer. If I am wrong, please correct me.First the reason of the problem:If you make customShapes you have to register them to the whiteboard. Well in the WhiteboardCustomShapes example they use the following code:WBTriangle.mxml LINE 62:93protected function onToolBarAdd(p_evt:Event):void { if (sharedWB.isSynchronized) { //.....some code here//............. var imageShape:WBShapeToolBarDescriptor = new WBShapeToolBarDescriptor(WBShapeToolBarDescriptor.TOOL); imag...

Thanks for the above update Jeff! It is good to hear that Adobe isn't abandoning Flash completely, however, I must say that I agree with adam+k and BartoszMar. This is not going to sit well with many people, even if we have to move to an FMS solution on our own. Could it not be possible to keep LCCS up for the time being. The API is almost perfect and wouldn't need much support. Perhaps you could keep a couple of engineers around (Arun would be my first choice) to maintain the server and do smal...

As far as I can tell this can't be easily fixed. It's at artifact of the way the video was recorded. Since the webcam and audio publishers are separate, they end up in separate streams. Because of this fact, the streams can't be synchronized either live or during playback. From what I've looked at, it seems that the only fix is to make a combined audio/video publisher that would be the union of the webcam/audio publishers. I've started doing this with good results so far, but it's a long way fro...

A few others have asked this question alredy, doesn't seem like you'll get a list of IPs ( and from Adobe's perspective, it wouldn't make sense to do that, since it might change ).The best info I've gotten was here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/3765028#3765028Hope it helps, good luck.

The camera is twitchy. I've gotten h.264 working, but the audio/video syncronization is lousy. I've taken to rewriting the publisher in order to fix it. As far as I can tell, there's no need to tell the subscriber what type of video to expect. It gets that information from the stream container itself.

Yup, either approach can work - for saving it on the service, just make sure sessionDependentItems is true for all nodes of the whiteboard (in the room console). If you want to save the whiteboard "offline", then you can iterate through the SharedWhiteBoard.model and save them in whatever way makes sense :http://livedocs.adobe.com/labs/acrobatcom/com/adobe/coreUI/controls/whiteboardClasses/WBModel.htmlnigel

hey Guys, I'm trying to get our video to be widescreen, but I'm not sure how to do that ( I'm using the 10.1 swc).In the code for the stream manager, I see methods like set aspectRatio, but then I also see things like AR_LANDSCAPE.Then in the documentation I only see a method like, "changeSizeStream()"What's the correct way to set the aspect ratio and height/width of the encoded video stream?thanks

We've had some specific requirements that required building our own versions of the swc, so it's more complicated than just replacing the swc. When I gave it a try with the swc, it had a compile time error because of something that we're overriding. We've extended SessionManagerBase ( undocumented ) in order to avoid the cloud service for running our unit tests. As soon as I find the time, I plan to give it a try.

None of the above It's a video stream with (I think) some magic on the encoding side, when you receive it is a standard video stream (vp6).

This seems like a pretty easy change to make. If Adobe devs turn out to be too busy to do it, any chance you would accept the code from an external developer (and LCCS user) to get this pushed into the console? I'd be happy to code it up if it would help myself and others.Edit: Mis-read the original post. Corrected misinformation in my reply.

I've seen the webcam bug that you're referring to on OS X. It appears to be something funky about how OS X represents the iSight. Sometimes it shows up as DVVideo, other times it's listed as a USB webcam ( You can see this in the System Preferences panel as well). I think that in their attempt to make OS X easier to use, they made it a bit unpredictable. We use LCCS in production, and while it has its lumps ( all code does ), I'm very pleased with both the quality of the code and the responsivene...

We actually have released the "remote control" feature with SDK 1.3.0 (the current version is 1.3.5). I think we don't have a sample application for this but there is some info in the documentation (see com.adobe.rtc.collaboration.ScreenShareSubscriber.requestControlling(userID)).Basically the "viewer" application will have to request control and the person currently screensharing will be prompted to accept. If accepted the "viewer" will become able to control the "publisher"'s machine.I did see...

I actually just figured out the fix without forcing any compatibility mode changes. Yup, for whatever reason the Spark UIComponent messes up rotation so that it's super-hard to subclass it (which our shape containers do). Here's a monkey-patched version of WBShapeContainer which fixes the issue. Just replace the source at com.adobe.coreUI.controls.whiteboardClasses . We'll make sure to get this in for the next release too. Thanks for bearing with us! nigel

Hi Sandy, Despite Arun's protests, this is definitely expected behavior - a collectionNode is said to be synchronized when it has been connected, and received all previously stored information (including nodes and items). So you'll receive some nodes and items before synchronization (which means they were old items), and likely some after synch (meaning they are happening in "real-time". Check out the Developer Guide, section 3.1.5.1 - Synchronization. nigel

Hey Guys, I have some questions about the AudioPublisher that I'm hoping you can answer:1) It seems that the AudioPublisher loops the audio back to the speakers. How do I disable this?2) The AudioPublisher does seem to emit the synchronizationChange event. While I'm at it, when can we expect the release of the source to the Flash 10 swc. That would allow me to answer some of these questions for myself.

Well, there is... there are a few ways and they all involve pretty much the same process... converting the pdf file to a swf [there are a lot of free utilities out there to do that]. Then maybe making a simple pdf viewer[actually swf viewer]... adding some scroll bars and zoom functionality. Or you can use one of the solutions that exists, for example print2flash. I believe Adobe has a solution as well called FlashPaper]which they discontinued development on, but you can still download, the only...

Are you using the latest version of the api? In previous versions it was sometimes the case where the enter key wouldn't clear the text feel. The only way to fix it was to do a validate on the text box after it is sent by editing the source code, if you do a search on the forums I had brought this up on one of my previous posts... The solution is also included there as well. I am guessing it would be just easier to download the latest version of the API.
