As far as I can tell, there's no concept of z-order on the whiteboard. We've run into this issue as well and haven't found a fix for it.

Like the rest of you, we have spent significant engineering time building out product on LCCS.We're a venture backed startup and we're looking at ways to move forward. We currently see 2 directions to take:1) Buy/license the IP from Adobe. 2) Rebuild the LCCS system in house. We have candidates for solutions to replace each of the various features provided by LCCS, but we need more boots on the ground. Is anyone interested in partnering on either of these efforts?-sandy lermanhttp://www.presencel...

As far as I can tell, LCCS was built on FMS and an XMPP server. ( google XEP-60 for more detail on the XMPP angle )My current plan is to use FMS or Red5 with Openfire or eJabberd. It'll also need some glue to tie authentication and screenshare into it.I think with a bit of effort, I'll be able to reuse most of the LCCS client code and have a pretty stable, maintainable system.Does any one else have any plans yet?

As far as I can tell this can't be easily fixed. It's at artifact of the way the video was recorded. Since the webcam and audio publishers are separate, they end up in separate streams. Because of this fact, the streams can't be synchronized either live or during playback. From what I've looked at, it seems that the only fix is to make a combined audio/video publisher that would be the union of the webcam/audio publishers. I've started doing this with good results so far, but it's a long way fro...

The camera is twitchy. I've gotten h.264 working, but the audio/video syncronization is lousy. I've taken to rewriting the publisher in order to fix it. As far as I can tell, there's no need to tell the subscriber what type of video to expect. It gets that information from the stream container itself.

hi,We have a client that's connecting to our system ( and our LCCS application) from behind a school firewall. They whitelist servers by IP address. Is there any way for me to get a list of IPs that LCCS uses so that we can get them whitelisted?thanks,-sandy

The way that we handled it is to serialize the whiteboard objects to XML. Then we can store it on our server or load it back in later.

hey Guys, I'm trying to get our video to be widescreen, but I'm not sure how to do that ( I'm using the 10.1 swc).In the code for the stream manager, I see methods like set aspectRatio, but then I also see things like AR_LANDSCAPE.Then in the documentation I only see a method like, "changeSizeStream()"What's the correct way to set the aspect ratio and height/width of the encoded video stream?thanks

We've had some specific requirements that required building our own versions of the swc, so it's more complicated than just replacing the swc. When I gave it a try with the swc, it had a compile time error because of something that we're overriding. We've extended SessionManagerBase ( undocumented ) in order to avoid the cloud service for running our unit tests. As soon as I find the time, I plan to give it a try.

I'd love to hear some feedback. How well does it work? Can we really get rid of our headsets? Is half-duplex mode enough or do we need to run it full-duplex for it to be usable?

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, but it would be fantastic if when I typed into a search box, the displayed rooms would get filtered as I type. It would allow you to keep the current display the same and if I wanted to see all the rooms that started with 'g', I would just put a 'g' in the search box. Presto! Instant search with filtering!

I wouldn't call it a major pain point, just more of an inconvenience. My rooms get created over the span of months. I generally don't recall when a room was created, so creation order appears somewhat unordered. If they were in alphabetical order by name, that would allow me to easily find the room I'm looking for in the list as I keep a list of my rooms and their associated user in my database.I think that the easiest way to make everyone happy would be to use a two column data grid, showing the...

Oh, I had assumed that as long as the room exists ( which it does) that it would return the salient data. For example, dateCreated, bytesUp, bytesDown, etc...all make sense even when a room isn't currently in use.I'm trying to get the usercount, so I can just assume it's 0 if it throws the exception.Thanks,-sandy

I'm extending SessionManagerBase for our own custom localmanager used for unit testing. ( Which I'm happy to share if anyone is interested. ) Unfortunately, between the 10.0 swc and the 10.1 swc, the method signature has changed. It used to be:session_internal function publishItem(p_collectionName:String, p_nodeName:String, p_itemVO:Object, p_overWrite:Boolean=false):voidNow it looks like there's an additional Boolean at the end. ( According to my describeType sleuthing )What's the actual signatu...

I've seen the webcam bug that you're referring to on OS X. It appears to be something funky about how OS X represents the iSight. Sometimes it shows up as DVVideo, other times it's listed as a USB webcam ( You can see this in the System Preferences panel as well). I think that in their attempt to make OS X easier to use, they made it a bit unpredictable. We use LCCS in production, and while it has its lumps ( all code does ), I'm very pleased with both the quality of the code and the responsivene...

Every once in a while I get that and after swearing up and down for a minute at no one in particular, I notice that I've exceeded my quota set in the developer portal. ( https://portal.collaboration.adobelivecycle.com/ )I'm not sure if there's any way to check that sort of thing via the server2server api. ( Nigel, is there any way to do that? )
