Nope. Never figured out how to do that. One work around is to design
templates using a combination of parsys and responsivegrid containers.
The parsys policy would allow components that don't support Layout.
The issue discussed is a useful feature where users were able to build
links from the RTE Link window by dragging and dropping assets such as
PDF docs from the Classic UI Content Finder. Adobe says that this is
"not recommended" anymore. Seems it is not recommended because Touch UI
lacks the feature.
Specifically, I want to disable component resize for certain components
which look bad when squished using Layout. These are components with
more complicated html and already have a responsive design strategy.
Ideally there could be a property in cq:editConfig such as cq:layout =
Hi Adobe Experience ManagerOur sites use AEM 6.4 with Layout Container

something??) where layout could be configured at the component level?

HelloMy client runs a photography and touch-up business. During the
shoot, photographers place cards in the shot with the product
identifier. It's sort of a pain point to have the touch-up people to
read and transcribe the product codes. Its a manual and error prone step
that they need to improve. I was thinking to change the DAM Update
Workflow to include ORC (Optical Character Recognition) of the text
within the image. So far I have tried two things:1. I updated the DAM

Thanks for posting about this problem. We are also facing this issue
with workitems not having the routes object when preceding an OR Split.
Actually pasting the script into the OR Split branch text editor did
help in our case! but it needed to be added into the non default branch.
Here is information about encrypting/decrypting values stored in AEM's
JCR in case others might find it

Is there a UI for adding, removing or changing CUG authorization
policies? Documentation makes zero reference to rep:cugPolicy,
does talk about Java code to manage the policies. Is that really how
we're doing it now? Pushing code changes to manage CUG authorization

Ok thanks for your input. It does seem odd that one cannot use the

Yes that would definitely work if this were a brand new page. We are
coming from Classic UI and have bunch of content which used page
properties. I don't want to have to undergo a content migration to adopt
the new interface just because Adobe decided to disconnect the page
properties from the page.
Correct. It works great as a Component, and even saves from Page
Properties. However, when used from the Page Properties it blows up the
Java Exception listed above immediately after selecting a file.Since I
can't really promote code that generates errors, I'm looking for another
option. If I could write to Page Properties from a component dialog,
then that's definitely what I would do. That would also help with the
pages images (co-called thumbnail tab), since I could then make use of

This seems like it might work.Ideally the existing file would be

Thank you. I was looking to reference a cq:dialog from an OOTB file

but this component only has dialog.xml.
In the ClassUI we had very simple page property syntax providing a way
for author to upload a file to the page. Like this.. Obviously we need to
transition to the Touch UI at some point, so I have been working to
implement this in the TouchUI. Most CQ widgets and xtypes are very easy
to convert, but for whatever reason I cannot get the fileUpload to
work. This is the documentation I am trying to useFileUpload — Granite UI

According to a response from Daycare, these log messages can be ignored.
However, we believe that certain requests
(http://localhost:4502/bin/security/authorizables.json ) generate many
such messages. Therefore it is possible slow down or even crash AEM
under heavy load of authorizables.json for example. Daycare suggested it
is to be fixed in AEM 6.4. in the meantime turning off logging on

We also found this problematic in our staging environment which was
recently upgraded from AEM6.1 to AEM 6.3. when on /sideadmin, our users

Okay. So editing this
adding this file /apps/clientlibs/granite/coralui3/js/coral.js to my
project did the trick. It would be much better if Adobe would engineer
these features to be more easily customized. I don't like overlaying a
js file that is over 71,000 lines to adjust 3 lines of code. Also the
ratios seem to be backwards. It was strange that the ratios need to
height over width to come out properly...

Running 6.1 SP2 CFP7 our authors also face this from time to time. They
may or may not have logged out, and then return to a few days later. The
system prompts to login thru our SSO after which they can browse but not
edit. The alert opens when any edit is attempted regardless of UI, page
customization, and OOTB pages (e.g. /siteadmin). It definitely has
something to go with the CSRF token and happens especially after
restarting the author instance. I may have reproduced the problem
We have an issue preventing users from logging out from the publish

fine there. On the staging system, requests to /system/sling/logout.html

Hello.Occasionally users of page properties dialog in the classic UI in
AEM6.1 will upload very large images using the html5smartimage to
the Image tab. The images can be so large that they cannot render or be
processed, and also breaks the users' ability to "clear" the image (tool
bar is grayed out). We need to use sizeLimit, but it is not working.
When changing the xtype to the deprecated smartimage, there is file size
validation. But using the deprecated smartimage xtype introduces other
I think this is known bug with Adobe, and the current workaround is to
