Hi Parre,1) The input data to PDF/XDP is an XML. Any XML is always represented in a parent child (tree) hierarchy. The XML that i had shared in the above post is just a sample one.2) The script can be added in the initialize event of a field.Suggest you to go through the basics of scripting, a PDF that is avaialble at following path:http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/8.2/LiveCycle_Designer_Scripting_Basics.pdfIf you are still facing an issue, pls mail me your template and XML at alcdtrainer@g...

When the document is opened there is no data in the text field of the initial subform. Once the data is entered into that text field on page one when I go to the other page, only the first subform is populated. After I place the cursor in that text field of that subform then the other subforms populate. I hope I'm being clear.Thank you very much for looking at this and please let me know if you need any more information.Best regards,Parre

For each field you want to have the same value, go to the binding tab and under data binding (open, save, submit), set both fields to an same value (it can be anything). Alternatively, you can use global data binding, and change the name of both fields to the same thing.

I have a table that has repeatable rows, each row has an add and delete button at the end of each row, to remove that specific row if necessary and the initial count is 4. The issue I am having is when I enter data into the text fields in the first row and tab pass the add and delete buttons the cursor goes to the next subform in my document instead of the next row of the current subform.Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.ThanksParre

In the case you need to wrap it into a subform the code needs to be changed into:if (this.parent.parent.index gt 0) then $.access = "readOnly"endifExplaination:this = text field, 1st parent = subform, 2nd parent = master page, index = current index number of the repeated master page

Hi,the rawValue is not assigned during the change event that's why your expression doesn't work.Use the click event of the radio button group instead.SchInfo.presence = this.rawValue === "4" ? "visble" : "hidden";

Hi,You would need a loop in the calculate event of each of the three groups in table 2 (Principal, Teacher and Student). The loop would look at each row in table 1 and if the Group is Principal it would add the total for that row to the Principla total in table 2. Have a look at this example: http://assure.ly/haaOfc. Hope that helps,Niall

I don't see you using the index of the subform anywhere in your code. LiveCycle might then default to the first instance of the subform. Try adding something like this to your code of the click event of your radio button: var i = parent.instanceManager.index; Then use i to index your subform. It might look something like this if your subform you add is AcctSM.var i = parent.instanceManager.index; if (this.rawValue == "1"){ form1.CashTransfer.FOneTMul.AcctSM[i].From.Acct101.rawValue = "X" form1.C...

If anyone is following this thread, I found the solution to my problem where the Floating Fields did not work. BTW, I am using LiveCycle Designer ES 4.Under Form Properties/Defaults, you need to change "Choose Target Version" to "Adobe and Adobe Reader 9.1 or later". Save the change, and floating fields should work now.
