Thanks guys for your responses - I solved this by forcing the mandatory state each time the visibilty is changed. Not the most elegant but effective.@Magus - your script looks the business however a little to complex for me to slot into my form - I wil use it in future forms though - thxThanksE

Hi AllI understand there is a limit of 500 responses for a reader extended fillable form? Does anyone know how this is 'policed' - ie is there a counter somehow embedded in the form which automatically disabled it or is it (more likely ) governed by the usual Adobe right to audit a company etc?ThanksEllis

Hi AllI'm after some advice...I have a dynamic form created with LiveCycle ES2. I also have a list of suppliers in excel. I need to 'merge' these documents almost like a 'mail merge' type function where each suppliers name and address is injected into the form and a new 'supplier specific' version of the form saved (with the supplier name in the title if poss)I thought AutoMailMerge plugin could do the job but it does not work with dynamic forms Any suggestions as to how to achieve this folks?Th...

Hi BruceMany thanks for the code - it's almost there. The only issue is that it seems to check for duplicates of the first row's value only. So it works great looking for duplicates of the first row however allows duplicated rows of any other value - as per the image here where 'Workforce B' is repeated:I have uploaded the section of the form below as I imagine solving referencing issues is tricky without seeing the form layout - any further help much appreciated. Thanks again mateEDropbox - PREL...

Hi BruceI am tring to get my head around arrays and am looking for example forms / JS that I can decipher and reuse (basically steal! ) My task is to build a form that is 'preloaded' with information (possibly an array?) - an initial dropdown is prepopulated with the values from the first 'column' of the array . Once a user selects a value (Eg 'Surry Hills') the cooresponding information is then sent to various text boxes (Eg '415 Bourke Street' , 'PO Box 2' etc). (The array would normally have ...

Thanks BruceThe webserver solution looks ideal - nice and simple - do you know if this will require Acrobat or will users with Reader be able to connect? I thought I'd read that Reader would not allow external connections? If my helpful IT department hadn't removed Reader when they installed Acrobat on my laptop I'd be able to check! Thanks againE

HiI need a form to populate dropdown selections upon form initialisation and then pull additional data accross to the form from a simple table located 'somewhere'. The data is fairly simple and there is no requirement to 'write' to the table or database from the form. The diagram below attempts to describe what I need to do.My question is this - what are my options for the source of the data? It will be relatively small amounts of data <2000 lines and could be 'embedded' into the form if require...

HiI am looking at converting an existing form from its current configuration where all data is user entered, to a configuration where the form pulls data from a database stored on a network share. My question is what versions of Acrobat / Reader / Livecycle are required to achieve this. The only changes I made to the original for was to set some of the fields to 'Global Binding' however this seems to have broken the xml mapping? HiI am experiencing some strange behaviour when importing data into my form. My form collects data via dynamic tables ( '+' and '-' buttons to add and remove rows) and then concatenates the text in hidden 'mirrored tables' to get the text into the required format for onward processing. The issue I have is that when I import data (xml) some of the mirrored tables expand to the correct number of rows and get populated fine whilst others do not. I can see no difference in the code for the different...
