Hi, you can add it in the exit event of the field.Or you can create a script object and reference it from there.

Hi Paul,I am passing it in from an outside application. I need to do this as we have over 500 XDP's. The management around keeping the ones in the repository would be a logistical nightmare.Tys

Hi,I setup a process that takes a document variable (XDP) and then runs it through renderPDFForm and produces an output document variable (PDF). When I invoke this from within WorkBench it works fine. However, when I try and hit via JAVA I get the following error on the same input XDP.Also, when I added a watched folder endpoint to try and get around this, again with the same file, it stages the document indefinitely. Any guidance would be great!!com.adobe.livecycle.pdfutility.client.PDFUtilityE...

The process is as follows:* Client system drops XML in watched folder* Adobe picks up the XML and populates RE document* Adobe then puts the populated PDF back on the file systemI cannot get this to work and was hoping someone would be able to assist! The files are hosted here:https://acrobat.com/#d=n0f4DDb4DksOFdNmXl0RmAThanksPMG

Hi,Is there a creative workaround for the following problem:I have a form that spans 2 pages. On the master page is a set of buttons on the top. When the user tabs from the last object on the 1st page it ALWAYS goes to the buttons first, and then to the next field. Now I know it seems to be no problem tabbing through the buttons (there are only three) but users are fickle people and that is not an option.I've tried "setFocus", which works but then once its hits the 1st field on the 2nd page, it d...

Cool, I wont say I am a slouch at scripting but where would you achieve this? I have set the width of the column to be 0 depending on data being pulled in but I get no change?

Ok, I was hoping that was my last option. So I wont be able to have one form with 3 columns that stretch the width of the page and another with a table and 4 columns that stretch the the width of the page? What is the best option here, using two tables and showing the correct one accordingly? The scenario is that there are 4 different companies involved in the running of the whole project and whatever changes I make to the XSD impacts everyone!

Hi, I have a form with a dual purpose. In one instance it is a notification of expected changes to amounts, and in the other it is the findings of the audit. They appear the same with slight wording changes - all the wording is in the data and that allows us the leverage to have one template. However, there is a table on this form and in the one instance I want to show a certain column and in the other I dont want the column. So, can I make this adjustment at runtime when the data is merged?Thank...

Paul,The encoding I need is not in the list of encodings. I created a test file and manually went into the XML to change it. However, it defaults to UTF-8. I attached my form to this linkhttps://acrobat.com/#d=q9getR4IyNV7IUZBZ87tOAIf you can shed light it would be great.Tys

Hi,Is there a way to setup a XSD or the XDP to omit XML tags which have empty fields in the form?Let's say I have two checkbox groups. If you answer YES to the first one the second one opens up and needs to be filled in. If you answer NO then the second one does not get filled in. In the latter case, I dont want to XML for the checkbox group to be in the XML that will be produced.ThanksTys

Hi,I have a form mapped to a XSD. On the form there are some checkboxes. My On-Value is 'Y' and my Off-Value is 'N'. When I open the form and export the data (default is off) my XML is as follows:NHowever, with the form open I select and de-select the checkbox (off-value, thus rawValue = N) I get the following XML:Now this affects my data as the above is seen as "not filled" by the backend. Am I missing something or is this something I need to work around?ThanksTys

Graham,I dont know what region you are in, but I would suggest talking to your Adobe rep. They are always willing to try and accommodate clients. Also, there are several different licensing models that might be available to you...Tys

Hi Dhiyane,You need to look at either LiveCycle Forms/LiveCycle Output. Forms gives you extra capabilities in case you want to extend your services one day. But for your current requirement Output will suffice.http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/forms/http://www.adobe.com/products/livecycle/output/CheersTys

Hi Graham,You will need to get LiveCycle Forms ES (Server component) to extract the data in case you receive the whole PDF back. However, if you get the XML you can then have any back end (JAVA/CF/PHP) code that receives the XML. You can then use open-source PDF creation tools to create the desired PDF for the client. LiveCycle Forms can perform this task but comes at a hefty price. So it will depend on your business model which way you go.One thing to remember - there is no PDF like Adobe PDF! ...
