Can I force reader to open in the users Browser? - Adobe LiveCycle 20-06-2012
Hi, I have a form that submits to a URL using HTTP submit - the form works great when viewed online, but if opened in reader locally, the submit is long winded, and messy, by having to download a temp file on C drive, before information can then be viewed online. If I open the local Pdf using my Browser, the process is much much smoother. Is there a way of defaulting the document to either open in their browser, of some script that I could use so that once the form is open, it then re-opens to vi...

Disable appData report after submitted to URL - Adobe LiveCycle 21-05-2012
Hi,I have built a form using ES2 that submits HTTP form data to my website. When the Pdf document is embedded in a browser, this works fine, data submits and my site takes over from there. The problem I am having is that when the form is opened on the users PC using reader or pro (i.e. not embeded in browser), it produces a report once submitted that details what information has been received server side (or not if not working) either on a new page within Pdf if using pro, or on a local temp fold...

Re: Tables and Drop Down Lists - Adobe LiveCycle 02-05-2012
Well - that question kinda blew my brain!!! I'd keep it as simple as poss, using just the one dropdown list to hide/set visible other items/be it sub forms, other drop down boxes, fields etc.I have found the ability to dynamicly hide subforms that contain other questions sets an invaluable tool in LivecycleGood luck!

Hiding current page only seems to make invisible or shows view of master page? - Adobe LiveCycle 02-05-2012
I have a button that is as follows:-runs a few validation checks blah blah then ...... else {this.resolveNode("Page3").presence = "visible";xfa.host.currentPage = 3;this.resolveNode("Page1").presence = "hidden";}So on click it goes to page 3 - that's fine, but it only seems to set the current page to invisible, as it leaves behind a blank page/master page to view?I have tried to include xfa.layout.relayout();but this has no effect. If i place a similiar button hiding Page1 outside Page1 then ther...

Re: Tables and Drop Down Lists - Adobe LiveCycle 02-05-2012
I assume you are refering to "white space" left in your form when setting to invisible.Rather than set to invisible, set to hidden, but due to complexity of form that you have shown you may need to start from scratch and set subform "content" to flowed once you have arranged all your tables/buttons etc. I would have thought that javascript would be more appropriate for working out your calculations. Take a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNki6UwJFeA regarding form flow - it may help

Save a dynamic form correctly - Adobe LiveCycle 26-10-2010
OK, now this should be simple, but proving difficult.I have a form, that has various YES/NO question sets, which then unhide additional questions sets in sub-forms that are hidden at the outset. Now although when the form is "distributed" it works fine, and saves all client data, in the YES/NO box, to see what was entered, you have to check the NO box, then check the YES box to unhide. All the info has been saved in the sub-form so I'm half way there! This makes the form useless for customer compl...

Re: Disable Mouse scroll - Adobe LiveCycle 15-09-2010
Thanks Niall,That's a work around I've been trying to do this morning as seems to be easiest solution, but when I change next page to visible in my button, then add next action on button to either "next page" or the next page number, livecycle goes to the page after the one I have just made visible.

Disable Mouse scroll - Adobe LiveCycle 15-09-2010
Hi,I used a snazzy bit of kit to disable pdf scroll bar called pdf layout - that's great because i want to force users of the form to navigate via buttons i have on my pages designed in livecycle.Trouble is, you can still navigate down using the mouse wheel!I have searched for some javascript and found this, but this does not seem to work.function stop(){return false;}document.onmousewheel=stop;Anyone with an idea of what I'm doing wrong?
