Hi adragton,Correct -- we don't currently offer LCCS as an on-premise server. We do offer a managed services offering through a partner though. See here... http://blogs.adobe.com/collabmethods/2010/04/have_it_your_way.htmlThanks,Fang

Hi Doug,As you mentioned, we've been discussing this issue for a while now internally as we've seen more and more customers looking to implement a presence/chat system with LCCS, where by definition the clients are continuously connected. The only immediate option right now is to move to a concurrency model -- http://blogs.adobe.com/collabmethods/2010/04/have_it_your_way.html. Whether this option will work for you or not depends on the size of your install base. It may not work at 10 or 20 users,...

Our August release is one of the biggest updates in LCCS history. We're including 3 big new features for your tests:1) SCREEN SHARING. That's right, you'll be able to make applications which includeusers capturing and broadcasting their screens.2) JAVASCRIPT INTEGRATION. We're making it easy to add rich collaborativefunctionality via JS libraries. This feature is currently in public beta, and we're reallylooking to release this to gather feedback and bugs.3) RECORDING AND PLAYBACK. Another highl...

Hi mavikelebek,Though LCCS is available worldwide and in 8 different currencies, there are certain geos that our credit card subscription system does not support. You could try creating an Adobe ID with a different geo to work around this issue.Regards,Fang

Hi Sean,Our only limitation is the number of users in a room. Rooms are metaphors where users virtually rendezvous to collaborate and can be used to logically group your users for your application. The current limit is 5,000 users per room. However, there aren't any limits on the number of rooms that you can have. So, you can easily distribute your 10,000 concurrent users across multiple rooms. Thanks,Fang

Hi Jr Moretti,These databases on not linked. Just login with your existing Adobe ID, and then pick an obscure account name. Again, all you need is your Adobe ID and password to login, there isn't a need for you to remember the obscure account name.Based on your earlier post, it's not your username that is taken. It's the account name. Thanks,Fang

Hi J,The issue here is that in addition to using your existing Adobe ID you also need to pick an unique account name. We have a fairly sizeable number of users now so picking an unique account name can be challenging, so I suggest using one that is as uncommon as possible. It's not something that you'll need to remember as we display it prominently in the developer portal, but it is important in our development model. We've received complaints before on how hard it is to pick an unique account na...

Hi cjwalters53,The current support mechanism available for "pay-per-use" and free trial customers today is through the forums. If you need full-time coverage, phone support and a service level guarantee, it's best to look at the other pricing options -- see this blog post here. Thanks,Fang

Hi RDGB2,Comparing the "pay-per-use" pricing model with that of FMS's is really apples and oranges. The real answer here is that your project is probably too big for "pay-per-use" as this pricing model is really designed for people to get started quickly, easily, and cheaply. I think a concurrency based pricing model is more appropriate for your scale -- check out this blog post: http://blogs.adobe.com/collabmethods/2010/04/have_it_your_way.html.Thanks,Fang

Hi Jell,The audio echo cancellation feature is a core functionality of the Flash Player and AIR runtimes. Though the LCCS team has stressed the importance of this feature to the Adobe runtime teams, it's always better when they hear it directly from impacted developers and customers. I encourage you to voice your concerns and vote for this feature here... http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-273Thanks,Fang

Hi Rees_R,I can answer the first part of your question, and that is if you have a user making two connections to the service, it will be counted as 2 separate connections. As for the second part, I believe this depends a bit on your use case -- but in general, you should be able to create a separate CollectionNode in the same room to cut down on your connection costs. Though keep in mind, we're talking about a penny for 60 mins here. Thanks,Fang

HI Graeme,The limit for the "default" application is always free. Just create another application via the developer portal, and you should be able to set the monthly limit. Also, please make sure you are using a PPU commercial account -- the "Edit Monthly Limit" functionality is not available in a free account.Hope this helps,Fang

Hi Chris,(1) Majority of our maintenances -- like this one tonight, which happens about once a month, are zero-downtime maintenances. An existing session may get an automatic reconnect, but it should be transparent to the end user. Our goal with the Health page is to over communicate, but you bring up a good point here as the announcement seems more ominous than what I've described. I'll take the action to discuss with our operations team so we are clearer on the expected experience in the futur...

Hi tflx,1) Yes, but you can always assign another app to your FREE quota pool.2) Correct. The idea is to let you keep your development separate from a live application. So, you can always point your application to the Default app or any other that you've specified as FREE during development. And, when you are ready to push it live, just point it back to the one you've specified.3) The limit resets on the day you get charged. Thanks,Fang
