This was never answered, but i did figure it out on my own. Figured since this had 66 views, i would share what i found. It was actually an easy fix. I added a textfield (set to show the current page number of the page it is on) at the very beginning of each section that appeared in the table of contents and set it to always stay with the first line of text in that section so as the document grew, the page number the section starts on will stay correct. Then set it to be hidden. In the "binding"...

Also, the content of my form is "positioned" not "flowed". don't know if that matters or not.

I am making a form with a navigation bar which appears and disappears on button click. (a "show" button stacked on top of a "close" button that hide each other on click so it appears like a toggle) The nav bar and buttons are placed on my master page. But when going through the document, the nav bar only appears on the current page that the open button is clicked, instead of ALL pages. Is there a way to make all pages show the nav bar on click, then ALL pages hide it on click? I would also like ...

**Running LiveCycle ES4 and using the "action builder" to code**I Have a HUGE document (70+ pages) that needs a dynamic table of contents that updates as the user adds information which can push all following sections to new page numbers. There are sections AND subsections under each section, but for this, lets keep it simple and just talk about the sections. I have been battling to find a way to do this for months and i need to have this done this week. I've already made the table of contents a...

I had actually changed the name of my pages to all uppercase so not to get confused if "page" came up in any code. the code is actually correct. sorry, forgot to mention that.

Sorry for the late response. I'm getting the text in the script to show up dynamically in the text field now.Chapter 2 - Lorem Ipsum DolorPage -1but the page number always shows up as "1". it is not reading the correct page number. even when directing the script to place different text fields on different pages, it always reads "1". any ideas on why? below is the script that i redirected to the very last formfield in this 50+ page document and it is saying "Page 1".this.rawValue = "Chapter 2 - L...

I'm not able to get this to work yet. I'll explain what i'm currently doing and how i understand the script. (keep in mind still kinda new at this) It might be a bit confusing because you're using a "Page() method" and the page is named "page" so i'm not sure what part of the method is referring to the textfield. Also, i only have two "actual" pages in my PDF. The subforms span pages and create new ones dynamically. Below are the minimized and expanded screenshots of what my document currently l...

I have a very large dynamic PDF and i have already built the table of contents but it only contains the title of each section (no page numbers). each item clicked focuses view on the corresponding Header of that section even if the page number changes. BUT now i need to add page numbers onto the table of contents page that will dynamically change as the document grows. I'm new to LiveCycle. Can anyone help? (I'm running LiveCycle ES4)
