  • Hi again 1996,You can use setFocus multiple times in the exit event, and the last one that is called is where you end up. I would suggest putting the 'default' tab before all of your logic, to ensure that it's the one that gets called when the field is valid:i.e.:xfa.host.setFocus(form1.subform1.FFi...

  • Try making your form using a table. Table rows resize together, as you want them to. That's pretty much the easiest way that I can think of.Let me know if you need any help working with tables,- scott

  • Hi there,Am I right to assume that you want the fields on the hidden subform to be null instead of their default value because you plan on exporting the data? The reason why I made that assumption is because I personally don't see any other value to nulling out hidden fields, unless it's in order to...

  • Hey everyone,I know that this solution isn't a simple button press, but it's what i do when I don't want users to be able to edit a completed form.I use a virtual printer ('Adobe PDF' or 'CutePDF') to "print" the form to a new flattened pdf document. All scripts are lost, and all fields are made 100...

  • Hey everyone,I've been asked to build a form that is way more complex than anything I've done in the past. I just wanted to ask the experts here a few questions before I get started, to make sure that I don't make any huge mistakes. The complexity of the form lies in the huge number of nested repeata...

  • Hi again 1996,Here is a sample of how I would design a repeatable subfrom that: - Starts with no records showing (Initial Count = 0) until either data is imported or the user clicks a button. - Dynamically shows/hides a friendly message to let the user know if there are no records. - Micromanages th...

  • Hi 1996, sorry for the late reply.Alright, like I said, visibility is never affected by an import. If you want to show information in a field, the field has to be visible, and all of the field's parent subforms need to be visible as well. If any of the subforms that the field is nested within are hi...

  • Hi there,This option is a bit work intensive, but it's what I've been doing when a form is bloated by large images. It requires the you have Adobe Acrobat Pro, and assumes that the person you are emailing the filled in form will not have to make any changes.1) First, use a virtual printer to "conver...

  • I forgot to mention, if you have Adobe Acrobat Professional installed on your computer, there is a good chance that you already have 'Adobe PDF' listed as a printer. You can follow the above instructions, swapping out 'CutePDF' for 'Adobe PDF'. They are both virtual printers, and the both effectivel...

  • Hi Ashley,The process of making a PDF entirely 'read only' is called 'Flattening'. I assume that you want to flatten the form after one of your coworkers has filled it in. Adobe has some very extensive server-side software that is capable of handling everything that you are asking for, but the price...
