Re: Initial View is disabled on a Form created in LiveCycle ES2 - Adobe LiveCycle 30-04-2012
Hello, I too would like to understand why these properties are disabled for XFA PDFs? Disabled for both dynamic and static PDFs. Why would you be able to use scripting to modify these values? Online documentation doesn't mention/confirm these observations.Hélène

Re: Restrict double bytes characters - Adobe LiveCycle 16-06-2011
I tested the solution with a text field (kept default settings including font) and copied a double byte character from Windows's Character Map tool (using the same font i.e. Myriad Pro). Thanks for your help.Hélène

Re: Restrict double bytes characters - Adobe LiveCycle 16-06-2011
Thanks for your response. We're trying to restrict double byte characters e.g. Japanese or Russian characters. The picture pattern suggested doesn't differentiate between a single and double byte character.Hélène

Restrict double bytes characters - Adobe LiveCycle 15-06-2011
Morning,Is there a way to restrict double byte characters from being typed into a field? I am looking for an alternative to a script on the change event filtering key strikes. I've tried playing with the locale, fonts, picture clauses but didn't manage to get the desired results.ThanksHélène

PDF in browser: launch web page in new window/tab - Adobe LiveCycle 17-05-2011
Good morning all,Our forms use the hyperlink functionality and the desired result is to have the web page launch in a new browser window, or tab, when viewing the PDF in a browser. When the web page opens in the same window, the form data is lost after hitting the back button to return to the form content. The current alternative is to use xfa.host.launchURL() function however we're wondering if there is a Preference setting in Reader we could enable/disable instead. Most of the links are text em...

Circular Tabbing Order - Adobe LiveCycle 10-05-2011
Has anyone noticed that sometimes, the tabbing order automatically jumps to the first field when leaving the last field of the tabbing sequence, and sometimes it doesn't? It simply goes nowhere i.e. it leaves the last field and no other field gets focus.I built a sample form (dropped 3 text fields inside a positioned subform) for debugging purposes and noticed when in preview mode and hit the tab key right away, the tabbing sequence ends in the last field. Then if I click anywhere on the page an...

Is different tabbing order behavior between Custom and Automatic order a known issue? - Adobe LiveCycle 16-03-2011
Good morning,I'm trying to debug a tabbing order issue where tabbing jumps over the instances of a repeating subform added at runtime only to return to them at the end of the tabbing sequence. Is this a know issue? If so, has it been fixed in newer version of Reader or Designer? I'm 98% sure this used to work before we installed service pack 1 for LC Designer ES. Here are the product versions currently used:LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2.1.4029.1.523496Adobe Reader 9.4.0Additional Information The hier...

Re: SOAP Error Handling (timeout & service down) - Adobe LiveCycle 23-02-2011
Beautiful! That's exactly what I am looking for and more. It allows the form to customize the error message instead of displaying Reader's default message. Thanks again for your help Paul, I appreciate it.Have a good one.Hélène
