Does anyone have any experience of a preflight version of an app
suddenly stopping working on iOS - by which I mean, crashing immediately
during its loading screen when you try to open it?I have a published app
(which is working fine) and a preflight app accompanying it which we use
to preview content across various devices before pushing it live. Until
last week this was working well, with no problems. I've made no changes
to the app build itself, though naturally enough we have added new
Does anyone know of any London, UK based Adobe wizards who would be
willing to consult and directly assist a publishing company in setting
up Entitlement services on their latest app? I represent that publishing
company and would be willing to pay a reasonable fee to the right
person!Essentially we want to move from our existing (entitled) DPS app
to a new AEM app we have built and about which we are very excited. But
we have hit a wall trying to adapt our entitlement server to match the
Thanks all. It is now appearing and functioning in preflight app which
is great. I think where I have been going wrong is by simply downloading
the app again - but not actually rebuilding/submitting it before I do
so. Seems obvious to me now but may be I'm not the only one making the
obvious mistake!Grateful as always for the willing and able assistance.
Hi all,I am delighted to see the new search function - a real game
changer for us. Unfortunately though I can't get it to work in our
preflight or testing apps..Here's a screenshot of my set up - but
nothing appearing in the top bar or in my hamburger menu... am I doing
something mind-numbingly stupid, do we think?.
Thanks - good to hear. I think everyone here is going to love the new
system and the demo apps I have put together have gone down very well
with the management team. My design team have got a bit twitchy about
what they see as a slightly restrictive set of options for card design,
though. It's about the only objection anyone has had so far, mind
you! What we did get quite good at in the old version of DPS was
combining other Adobe software like Edge with our workflows. Obviously
we can still do t...
Hi,Are there any plans to introduce cards that can contain video or
animated content within a layout? The Audi Library app, which I believe
was made with DPSolution, uses this very well - but unless I'm being
daft I can't see a way to divert from those fixed templates of card
design. We use Edge Animate quite a lot to illustrate our online
material, it would be fantastic if we could look to redeploy that
content (alongside video, perhaps) in our Card layouts as well as the
.article files themselve...
I'm still having problems getting my fonts to pick up. Worth noting re:
the above point about properly formed .json files, that when I download
the sample font .json file from here:Digital Publishing Solution Help |
Create cards and layouts....on my PC and run it through JSONLint, it
reports an "unexpected token error"....!However, I have got a valid font
.json now, and I have been careful to copy the exact font names. I've
rebuilt the app today, but no joy getting it to register in the app, I'...
Thanks Andrei - yes, I can confirm we have the fonts and manifest at
root - no extra unwanted folders. For what it's worth, I am running this
off a PC, and so that's where I did my zipping (although I did try
rebuilding the app on a mac as well, no joy there either).
Hallo team,I am having real problems getting fonts that I upload to
register within the app. I have followed the instructions
I can't get the fonts to register in my preview app when I assign them
to card metadata.I have rebuilt the app several times and reinstalled
but no joy.If anyone felt charitable enough to have a look at the code
below and see where I have inevitably gone horribly wrong, I would be
Thanks Ivan - we use a real mix over a number of different projects - a
bit of Muse, a bit of raw HTML in Dreamweaver, some InDesign exporting,
and some bespoke CMS systems alongside some Wordpress and Joomla sites.
Are the APIs available in the public domain? I'd be happy to pass them
on to our tech team to see if they are able to contribute...
