This issue was resolved through a support ticket with Adobe AEM Forms support. To summarize the solution in this instance:Use the default ojdbc.jar that ships with the AEM Forms installer.Created JMX policies for database initialization: https://help.adobe.com/en_US/AEMForms/PrepareInstallSingle/WS0b373c8e7f652f146c64946513248e62799-8000.2.html

You appear to be using the incorrect ojdbc.jar file for this database connection. In your CLI Property File, you set the datasource.local.driverPath to be where the required ojdbc.jar driver resides. Yours is likely set to /apps/AEMForms/lib/db/oracle/ojdbc.jar (or similar based on your install location) as that's where we put it when you first unpack everything. You can also find it on your install media in /third_party/db/oracleThat JAR needs to be copied to your app server /lib directory, usua...

This was available until very recently, but it looks to have been taken down.I'll check around to see if there's any way to still buy it, but as it's out of support I would think it's been withdrawn permanently.

As long as what you've done works in Acrobat Pro, what you're up against here is the difference in allowed functionality between Acrobat Pro and the free Adobe Reader. But all is not lost, as there's Reader Extensions.Once your form has been completed and it's all ready to go, save it from LiveCycle Designer and open it in Acrobat Pro. I don't know what version of Acrobat Pro you have, but in Acrobat Pro DC you can go to File > Save As Other and then pick "Reader Extended PDF" from the menu. The ...

That's a huge question, so I'm going to point you to the main documentation page for AEM Forms (LiveCycle is now called AEM Forms.)It should help to answer a lot of your initial questions, and everything is there to go as deep as you might like.Adobe Experience Manager Help | AEM 6.4 Forms User Guide

Kiran, LiveCycle has been renamed "AEM Forms" so you might try searching for that instead.AEM Forms is server-based software just as LiveCycle was before it, and it is fully capable of converting numerous document formats to PDF and performing OCR on any images being converted at the same time, leaving you with a searchable PDF file no matter the source. There's a big page here that will tell you everything you might need to know about PDF Generator and how to use it, including how to switch on t...

You can switch this on:In the LiveCycle AdminUI (the administration console on the server) go to Services > PDF Generator > File Type SettingsOnce there, you'll see a few settings and one of them (most likely Standard) will be marked as the default.Click the name of that default and you'll then see the settings screen for it. Down a bit on the left you'll see 'Microsoft Word', so click that to expand that section. You'll see a bank of checkboxes, and the top one in the right-side column is "Prese...

There are a bunch of API Quickstarts available, and there's one that covers working with the repository. This is the complete programming with ES4 site:Adobe LiveCycle * Programming with Adobe LiveCycle ES4 And you can find the quickstart I'm talking about here:Adobe LiveCycle * Repository Service API Quick Starts Check the /sdk directory where LiveCycle/AEM is installed for the JARs you need to import into your applications.

Where you say 'dynamic forms', this makes me assume that you're using LiveCycle/AEM Designer to create your forms as Dynamic PDF files. I can't know if you have the LiveCycle or AEM server software, though. If that's the case then it's also the cause of your issue when it comes to using Fill&Sign, as that isn't meant for dynamic LiveCycle forms but for Acrobat forms, which is the old Acrobat-only way of doing forms. You can do a lot more with LiveCycle forms - including making them dynamic - than...

This is a terribly old thread, but I'll add this just in case it helps others. When you install Central, look for a /documentation directory that is installed with it. In there will be all of the manuals and documentation, including the JFMerge (Print Agent) manual and scripting guides. There are also examples.Depending on the version of Central you have and how you received it, you might already have a /documentation directory on your insall media that you can get at without needing to install.

LiveCycle Designer is available for purchase at the link below. It's not part of Creative Cloud and also hasn't been bundled with Acrobat for some time. This product isn't supported any longer, which is likely why it isn't on anyone's lists, but if you want or need it, you can get it.LC Designer - Adobe Store

Check to see if you're using a 1.8 (or later) Java JDK to install. You need to be using the Oracle Java JDK 1.7 to install and run ES4.You can have multiple JDK's installed, just make sure that when you're running the Configuration Manager that the one you want to use with us is first on the path and that the JAVA_HOME environment variable points to it as well.

As long as this is a recent version of LiveCycle, the only certificate you might need would be for Reader Extensions. And you can complete your installation without it and add it later (in AdminUI) if you like.Check your license certificate to see if your org bought that piece. It might be listed as 'Reader Extensions' or 'ARES' or something similar. If they did buy it and you still can't see the certificate (a .PFX file) then you should contact customer service and have them make sure it's in t...
