Hi. Like a few others in the forum I'm trying to modify the source so
that I can put my own images on the whiteboard. But got a bit stuck.I
saw that others (vesuvias and chironmany) have said they 'attached' some
of their own modified classes. Was wondering if they wouldn't mind
posting the code again...? And also just give a quick conceptual
explanation about which of the afcs whiteboard classes handle "sharing"
the images on the whiteboard.Thanks!

Hi.I created a pretty simple sharedWhiteboard app in Flex (as an adobe
AIR app). Pretty much used the sample code from Ryan Stewarts article on
afcs. The app works fine when I run it from my desktop.I tried to test
the "shared" part by debugging the app from Flex and I copied the room
URL into an IE browser. I entered my adobeID and password and then got
the following error:ReferenceError: Error #1056: Cannot create property
isPeer on com.adobe.rtc.sharedManagers.descriptors.UserDescriptor.
Hi. I've been playing with the whiteboard to create a pretty basic

find anything...at this stage would I have to modify the source code? Was
thinking of developing my own shared 'whiteboard' and using the stratus
service but wasn't sure if i could transfer data P2P that isn't video or
I have a really basic app with the front end done. The app simulates
drawing with a pen.I want to make it P2P. Trying to figure out best way
to make it work from the backend...i saw Adobe's new rtfmp
protocol...not sure if it's suitable.Any advice would be great.Cheers.
Hi. I'm fairly proficient with Flex but struggling with theconcepts of
communication between flex and the server. My first question is why are
there a few ways to communicatewith a server eg. HTTPservice,
RemoteObjects, etc.Secondly, do I need to learn another language eg.
PHP, JAVAto properly communicate with the server. If anyone knows of a
good tutorial, book or otherdocumentation that simply describes server
side concepts (ideallyrelating to flex and AS3) I would really

like to be able to develop AIR apps. I wanted to dosomething simple to
start with...eg. have an AIR app on a fewfriends desktops that lets
users tick a box if they can make it toa poker game. Do I need to learn
another language like PHP to dothis or can it be done using just Flex?
Other than the live docsand dev guide that come with flex are there
otherdocumentation/online info that can be recommended. Thanks!
