Yes, two things. Firstly, make sure your DISPLAY variable is set. See if you can run an app like xclock or something, and make sure it pops up on whatever the DISPLAY variable is set to. Secondly, and this is really strange, you have to specify the full path to the executable. If it is in say, /root/sp3 you have to run the command like this:/root/sp3/x86_linux_adobe_livecycle_8_2_patch.binThat did the trick for me.

Hi All,I'm trying to upgrade my Linux/jboss Livecycle instance to SP3. Download was fine, and MD5s check out, started to run the patch, and it says its looking for a JRE, and then kicks back the prompt.
