Hi Jackie,Just to be clear, is the issue here only pertinent to list var
instances? Because I'm positive that regular eVar instances are
available in Analysis Workspace. Just want to be sure I'm understanding
your use case correctly. Thanks,Ben
Hi Brian, Thanks for submitting this idea. It makes a lot of sense. Of
course you have the ability to choose which metrics are
included/excluded before you run a segment comparison (and can then
remove metrics from the results as well), but I get the sense from your
description that you don't always know which metrics you want to include
or exclude, so you want to be able to make that decision on the fly,
which is a bit of a different use case. This isn't something segment
comparison can do toda...
Hi Erin, Thanks for the idea! With data connectors (now Exchange) we
typically rely on our partners to choose to integrate and build/maintain
the integration. That isn't to say that we can't build an integration
that is heavily requested, but it might also be worth submitting this
request also on the Google Search equivalent on this forum. Partners can
sign up with the Adobe Exchange program here:
https://www.adobeexchange.com/experiencecloud.html.Am I correct that the
requested integration is p...
Thanks for sharing this feedback. I have a ton of thoughts, but I'll try
to be concise. First, clearly the ability to query data and get it out
quickly and easily is more important to analysts than it was five years
ago. I think it's already been publicly announced that we're hard at
work on Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), which is a place to bring all
relevant customer data together in one place to power your experience
optimization and marketing. Part of AEP includes a SQL interface with
Hey folks. Good discussion here and I like urs.boller's suggestion to
create a Virtual Report Suite to restrict access to data. That's what I
came out here to say, and he had already said. Urs is, as usual, one
step ahead! To answer the original question, we're not totally thrilled
with the decision to remove the Create/Curate permission ourselves.
Unfortunately, there were some issues with the way that permission was
engineered, and it put us in a tough spot where we ultimately decided
We appreciate the feedback, everyone. Of course we want to make it as
easy as possible to log in to the product. This may sound like a silly
request, but can someone on this thread possibly post a screen shot of
what you're seeing on the page when the captcha is shown, along with the
URL at the time the captcha is shown?
Hi Amar. Good catch. Given that this is an issue with the documentation
rather than a request for new documentation, can you please raise this
with our Customer Care team and they will submit a request for the doc
to be updated?
Hello there! I like this idea a lot. Just wondering why a template or a
saved project that is full of reusable panels would not solve the
problem. You do have the ability to copy and paste a panel from one
project to another, so the creator could open the project full of saved
panels, copy the ones he/she wants, then paste in a new project. Would
this help in the short-term?
Hi Matt. Thank you for submitting this request. We agree, this is
something we should add to the product in the future. We’ll keep an eye
on votes and comments, always great to understand your needs more fully.
We’ll also work with our Engineering team to see what can be done. I
can’t offer an ETA, but we do appreciate you taking the time to document
this so thoroughly, and we’ll do our best.
We're working on some things that may help in this arena. Also, though,
in case you're not aware of this, deleting a segment really only hides
it from the segment list; it doesn't actually delete it behind the
scenes. If it is used in a report or project, it will continue to
function there. Try it out and see how you like it, but this may give
you some freedom to delete old segments and keep your segment lists
Any chance you're coming to Summit? In S103 (Tips & Tricks for Adobe
Analytics) we'll be talking about a new method you can use to cleanse
your bot data using a hits-per-minute approach similar to what you
described. If you won't be there, let me know and I'll send you info
Hi anshikaa98281381. While this is true in Reports & Analytics, we
strongly recommend moving over to Analysis Workspace, where each data
table tells you exactly how many rows are in your result set, allowing
you to quickly navigate to the end of the table.
Hi djc286. Thanks for submitting this idea. To clarify your use case,
are you looking to actually print out your Workspace projects on paper?
Or does your request have more to do with being able to point people to
a specific page in the document? You may be aware that your second idea
was presented at Adobe Summit 2017 in the "Too Hot for Main Stage"
session, so it's definitely something we are considering. Either way,
we're glad that you shared your feedback with us, and we'll continue to
Thanks for submitting this idea! We've heard this request a few other
places, and agree that it would be a great addition to the product.
We'll keep an eye on the idea for votes and comments going forward.
Thanks for the idea! This is definitely on our backlog to address. Your
votes and comments will help us prioritize and solve this problem
effectively. Also, one workaround that may help here is that you can
build a segment to exclude reloads, then apply that segment to your Flow
Hi everyone. Adobe recently removed the eVar label from the dimension
column header in Analysis Workspace. We did this because our data shows
that business users are often confused by the label of eVar and prop,
and since many don't know what these labels mean, having them directly
in the data like that could cause confusion. We'd love to get your
thoughts on this: Good move which will help your colleagues work with
data more confidently? Or bad move that makes it harder to tell what
Thanks for the idea submission! Just FYI, there is a pretty good
workaround for this. Set up a Virtual Report Suite and use the new
curation capabilities during setup to rename your dimensions and metrics
to business-friendly titles, and then expose this Virtual Report Suite
to your end users so they can see the friendlier names.
Good idea, thank you for submitting it. Just for background, the problem
here is that each report suite has a different set of dimensions,
metrics, and segments. Putting the report suite selector at the freefrom
table level would mean switching the left rail from report suite to
report suite, and it would mean that if you have multiple tables showing
at one time from different report suites, then dimensions, metrics, and
segments could only be dropped in the table(s) that corresponds to their
We actually do have a method already for programmatically creating and
updating VRS. There's a little bit of a bug in our developer site which
presents it from being shown (because it is at the bottom of the list of
methods), but here is a direct link to the doc: SaveVirtualReportSuite |
