1) If you're using AEM 6.3, please use 6.3 documentation, i.e. Community Functions2) You have access to configurations for functions from the site template or group template which includes it. Either set the value when adding the function to the template or select the gear icon for a function that exists in a template. The Getting Started tutorial for enablement might provide a better visual when it shows adding a catalog functionSee also Blog EssentialsHope this helps.- Janice

Hopefully you have AEM 6.2 and are installing Communities FP2.AEM Communities sizing considerationsAs described in AEM Communities sizing considerations:AEM sites that include AEM Communities features (community sites) experience a high level of interaction from site visitors (members) in the publish environment. The sizing considerations for a community site depends on the anticipated interaction by community members and whether optimal performance for page content is of higher importance.User ...

I believe so, but note (from MSRP doc page) :The mongoDB database, which defaults to the name communities, should not be set to the name of a database being used for node stores or data (binary) stores. See also Storage Elements in AEM 6.- JK

From other discussions I've seen, I believe the only way to implement this is to create a "guest" user on publish (a guest member) and write custom code that auto signs anonymous visitors in as the guest user if they want to enter comments.- JK

How about using the OOTB Handlebar Engine(This is wrapped within SocialComponentHelper) to develop Basic CMS components using Handlebars instead of Sling. Does it requires Adobe Communities license? We are not talking anything related to communities or SRP or any UGC stuff.ThanksRP

Hi, I had followed Extend Comments Component (three steps) for extending the notifications component at "/libs/social/notifications/components/hbs/notifications" I did not use SocialGraph/Vertex/Edge APIs for implementing this. I did not use any backend extension for this. Any changes that were made were in notifications.hbs and notification.hbs. When you have extended your component and the user is following particular blog or post for notifications, the notification entries should get created ...

Hi Peter,Could you be more specific? There are all sorts of material to get you started in the top post : README: About the AEM Communities Topic. You might be able to customize the open source migration utility to perform an import. It is mentioned in Upgrading doc found in the deploying Communities section.Hope this helps.- JK

Hi Maria,Please see the Troubleshooting section of ASRP. You may need to verify that time sychronization is happening and use a tool such as the Network Time Protocol (NTP) if not.If that doesn't help, perhaps you may need to open a support ticket.- JK

Hi Rama,1) AEM Communities is a capability of AEM and delivered within the AEM platform (quickstart). You can play with AEM Communities OOTB, but if you go into production with it, it needs to be licensed. The feature packs are additional features and fixes for Communities delivered separately from the AEM platform.2) It means reverse replication is not used for UGC. Reverse replication does have other uses, and must be configured for Communities.3) To view the current SRP choice, or to make ano...

Nice one but it would be wise to see how you could address cloud configuration with run mode such like S&P or facebook or google etc.

Hi,Can you provide info as to the platform version (6.2?) and Communities feature pack (FP2?).Also, you might want to say more about what docs you followed and what steps you took.If you overlayed the component, it would have the same resourceType. If you extended the component, then the resource type would be different.- JK

JK Kendall wrote... This is a locale bug (CQ-109419) that is fixed in Communities FP3 for AEM 6.2, which is coming out relatively soon. The locale is defaulting to Korean. You can apply the same fix by adding a line to specify the locale for the pretty-time helper, just after all the var declarations : moment.locale(CQ.shared.I18n.getLocale()); - JK Thanks a lot 🙂 JK, I will try that

Yes. When the Groupadministrator is a publish-side member, do not allow creation of groups in the publish environemnt. Require them to be created only in the author environment. To do so, ensure the box "Allow Publish Creation" is not checked for the Groups function in the community site's structure.Hope this helps.- JK

The capability for UGC is using AEM Communities features. If not using Communities, you'd have to create a custom implementation. For implementing queries and complaints using Communiteis, you would extend an existing feature.See the sample on GitHub : https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/aem-scf-sample-components-extension- JK

Yes, there is alot of information to take in.On the deploy page for Communities, it strongly recommends keeping the AEM platform up-to-date as well as Communities. There is a note which has this info : The AEM service packs do not include updates to Communities features. After installing an AEM platform service pack, it is not necessary to re-install a Communities feature pack or fix pack.I'll add this in a few other spots to try to make this more visible. For further questions, I would suggest s...

We found out that the problem was not in oath node. It was just first nt:unstructured node after rep:Cache in xmlSo, reason was in new rep:Cache node. See http://jackrabbit.apache.org/oak/docs/security/principal/cache.html This functionality was enabled and these nodes were created automatically for users. But during replication user node (for facebook users only that is still strange) it was some problem with creation rep:Cache node on target instance. Unfortunately we did not find why we have ...
